| I've had a look at the last set of accounts filed by the SMC in April for the year to 31 July 2010. There is a detailed profit and loss account which shows that FC paid the SMC £629,909 during that accounting period, with City paying £1,619,180. I make our total league attendance during that period 179,934 and City's is quoted as 463,406. If these are correct, that means FC fans paid £3.51 per ticket to the SMC and City fans paid £3.49.
I don't know whether these figures are entirely accurate (the attendance ones), and there are some specific costs attributable to FC, but directionally they are probably right. I'm unsure as to quite how Mr Allam can claim that we are getting all the services the SMC provide for pretty much nowt when on the face of it we're absolutely paying our way. Does anyone have any insight on the implication that we're freeloading at the KC, because I'm not sure the filed statutory accounts support it?

| Can't you feel a phone call to Blunderside or a letter to the HDM coming on?
With your knowledge, I think I would

| I think that that is working on the basis of a "per fan" cost scenario, in my view, the SMC's costs are not dependent upon the number of fans at a game, but rather the number of games it must maintain

Which is an entirely fair point, although there will be a mix of fixed and variable elements that we would never get visibility of, and to some extent I'm playing devil's advocate to compensate for Allam saying we pay practically nothing.

What's he gonna expect in return for his "soft" loan of £1 mil?

| Does it state actual profit Mrs B? Hull CC are supposed to be given a % of this but feel sure the profit 'posted' would be negligible!!!!

| I think this news should be greeted with cheer by us FC fans. For me, it puts an annual value on our lease of around £600k. Now if what I read on here is correct, we have around 42 years left on our lease, so the price for us to be moved on (If Mr Allam gets control) could be more than he wants to pay for the actual stadium.
If you read his press comments, he uses phrases like "If the Council don't want my gift (meaning the sports village)". I take this to mean - give me the stadium and I'll give you this dream !!!
Thing is, I reckon those looking at the pictures see them as just that - a dream - and one to get the stadium for nowt.

| Just shows what a load of old balls Assam Allem is spouting and he has no real grip on reality when it comes to sport in Hull. I heard the offer he put in to the council to buy all the land around the stadium was low and if the amount is true its pretty derisory.
I see his beloved City are stuggling to pay transfer fees which seems strange when he can give Rovers a gift of £1M.
He seems to think he is a Saint to the City of Hull and we as a City owe him something in return.

| It would be interesting to break it down a bit more. City for example this season played 23 league games at home as well as a couple of cup games (i presume) so they are in effect playing almost twice the amount of games at home than we do. Also they get larger gates and require more stewarding then the rugby does.

Also would that not require more work on the pitch, so the groundsmans bill's would be higher.
