What would it mean for RL in general and Hull FC / Wigan in particular?

I suppose it would need a lot of planning...remember we start our season and the football is still on and we just about manage it.

I can also see problems getting venues like Wembley and OT for our big events if Football is also having major events at similar times.

You are proabaly right there may well be some dummy spits...however it is good business for stadiums to have both the sports so personally I do not see a big problem as such.

With good groundsman it can...the worst time is winter Feb-April when we both playalternate now, the ground is soft and damages easy, as the ground hardens it becomes more durable.

a full season isn't week in week out there's internationals & cup fixtures, chances of city getting knocked out early mean a few free weekends

Of the 8 months that Super League is played only 3 of those City do not play at the same time anyway!

Dont a few RU clubs ground share with football clubs during the winter seasons? Maybe worth finding out what issues it brings for them.

cant see it happening, football chairmen are far too greedy, their most money spinning time of the year is the boxing day-new year fixtures

I can't see the Challenge Cup and the Grand Final being a problem as they are both played during the football season currently so nothing would change.

I think this is a very long time in the coming even if it does at all. We cope in Feb/April & Aug/Sept so with good ground staff we should be ok.

if anything the pitch would have a off season for once.

I remember Hunslet playing at Ellend Road for a few seasons when it was winter RL , can't recall the effects on the pitch though.

Indeed, at the time of year it could really do with it too.
