| I'm due for an upgrade and have been mulling over a couple of choices.
I have it narrowed down to two choices; The Nokia N8 or HTC Desire HD.
Does anyone have either of these phones that can give me some advice? I'm aware that the Nokia has the Symbian OS and the Desire runs on Android 2.1 just after some general advice.

| This might help, it's got loads of advice and opinionshttps://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f
We have the HTC Desire and we love it, a cracking piece of kit. Another to think about is the Samsung Galaxy S.

| Another vote for the HTC Desire here. I have one, so does the old man and one of my daughters. Absolutely smashing phone. Only drawback is a bit of a rubbish built in radio, but you can get apps to sort that out

| Tough call.....I have had iphone 3GS 32GB, HTC desire HD and have now moved to iphone 4. And heres why....
iphone 3GS....great simple, fast and does what it says, build quality good, but looks a lil dated now. Technol' moved on. Great Apps.....via the store.
HTC HD....liked the phone, BIG tho.....great screen for web, email, and movies. Too big for my pocket.
I had issues with syncing photos, movies and music on via a 32 GB card. Compared to the iphone.....it was getting a lil messy; I spent a weekend sorting....compared to 30 mins with an iphone.
Technically a great phone, I like the customisation options with desktops and widgets....but these all drain power if syncing with the web. constantly.
iphone 4....as it says on the tin! screen is great, simple apple options, front facing camera....I like the whole easy sync process with itunes....which how my library exists.
The samsung galaxy S, for me looks like a iphone 3GS, technically good but but feels plastic....no feel good factor here!
Hope this helps...my take only!

| Only a standard HTC Desire here but i'd not be without it.
Pros: Screen quality & the applications that are coming now.
Cons: Battery life, pocket dialling

| From what I've seen, the HTC phones are very good. I will be in the same position on Feb, but I'm opting for an Iphone 4.

Pros
Not wanting to sound patronizing here BUT how do you manage pocket dial with a HTC desire????? Have you not got it set to instant lock & turn the passcode on???

| HTC Desire is probably the best phone on the market right now.

I know, which is why that's one of my favourite vids. Sums up the attitude of many iPhone buyers perfectly.

| Have to say the new Blackberry Torch is an excellent bit of kit too. Have had a variety of blackberry phones and an i phone 3gs and an i phone 4 (awful - but then I got one when they first came out) and the Torch is superb!

Main reason why I opted for the HTC Wildfire instead of the iphone, I could get exactly the same contract on either phone but I didn't wanna pay £120 for the iphone when I could get the Wildfire for free. The only downside to this than the iphone is the apps, the andriod market is rubbish and hardly any decent apps unless you're american then there's loads of good ones I'd guess other than that there's nothing between them, really.
