| Why did Agar play him in the reserves for the second week running?
Finally fit from the "injury that just wouldn't heal" and we still don't see our only winger on the wing, freeing up one of our few brains in Whiting to be utilised elsewhere. Am now convinced there is more to this than meets the eye.
Can anyone enlighten?

| Can't recall any of our other senior players playing 20s before coming back. I don't think Agar likes him. Sounds like they've had a falling out?

| It is a pathetic decision to leave him out!!
The night was full of pathetic decisions..
1.The bench
2.Horney going on as a 9
3.Turner subbed (that one really piised me off... )

Which is about 150% more more Washbrook is capable of.

| I don't think Agar likes him, either. You only have to remember the end of last season when he won the fans' POTS award by a country mile but the recognition in terms of awards from the club was nada. Were we all wrong, then?
If it is a case of Agar just not liking him then I find this an astonishing decision by a coach with a very imbalanced side in terms of strength between forwards and backs. It's simply criminal to keep the only specialised winger we have on the sidelines when we are desperate for creative play inside. Leaving the slowest player in the squad on the wing who also has the rugby brain to make something happen where it's needed is not a decision I'd expect a professional coach to make if he had a choice?

Agree - he should be playing regardless of what's happening next year.

| The seeds of his departure were sown last season at Catalans when Calders was dropped to bring back Tom Briscoe after weeks out injured.
We will certainly miss his enthusiasm.

Must have. Horne walked straight back in too. Will Ogre and Moa have to play 20s before they come back?

| I like Calders
It is pathetic because we are certainly going to need him on Thursday, KR like to move the ball and Calders speed and defensive work is what we need
Unless he asked to go in the 20s to get his fitness ready for the derby

The club tried to offload him backend of last season but there was no takers

| So as it stands our only specialist wingers for 2011 are a 17 year old kid with one SL appearance and a player who is on a dual contract at York.
