| Never thought I'd be actively wishing someone to join the long queues at the Job Centre...but just what can be done to save this club from mediocrity?
I can only think of the following which will get the message through to the very ditched HullFC board.
Reduce the clubs revenue
I.E. Boycott home games, don't buy merchandise, lottery or anything and pay for away tickets on the gate.
AdvantagesIn Game Protests
I.E Agar out chants and banners
Advantages: Makes the board aware of the fans dissatisfaction with Agar, makes the wider fan base aware also (i.e not everyone reads this message board, reads the press, or even follows the clubs news during the week)
Disadvantages:
Again the next home game is weeks away, and we have no TV fixtures to maximize impact. And again there are still thousands who will clap the team off even if they've just lost 100-0 to Rovers.
I don't care if anyone finds this post irrational, over the top etc...I have never felt so disinterested in HullFC in the 15 or so years i've been watching them.
2008 could be explained by the injuries and change of coach, and was at least eased by a Wembley appearance.
2009 was a complete shocked...but we were told relentlessly to wait for Agar's team, and the signings for 2010 looked very promising.
we started the year promisingly, but it was yet again a false dawn...and now we are reduced to scrapping for 2 points against an injury hit Wakefield and losing to the side bottom of SL.
this year he's out of excuses...and I get the impression the board simply don't care. As long as the money comes through the tills and we gain a SL licence it doesn't matter where we finish in SL.
We are being taken for mugs, and something needs to be done.

if the gates (and income) tumbles they'd act. Sharp and Kear were under contact and they still got rid.
I doubt his wages/compensation are that high anyway

They (the board) are not going to get rid anytime soon...why would they after they have just handed him a 2 year deal!!?
Hey i want him out of our club and if i had the money i would pay him off without much hesitation!

Is that the 3rd option! each passholder pays say £10 each=£95000 and we use that to pay him off!

| For mine,
The only 2 ways to get rid of Agar are:
1,The board realise their income is on the decline.
2, A takeover.
Other than that, the board will continue to back him.

if the fans put enough pressure on there's no way he could last that long.
the trouble is as I've touched upon above, there's thousands of fans of this club who will blindly support them no matter what they do.
in fact, in threads last year were people were discussing a boycott, some posters got quite abusive and said they would support the club no matter what.
I just feel the longer we all keep paying out £20-23 (the highest prices in SL lets not forget) the longer they are happy just to do little.

I feel exactly the same way. We could have gone to Murrayfield at a push, but chose to do other family stuff this weekend. I now feel relieved I didn't spend a few hundred quid on train fares, hotel, tickets, food etc to take the family as I would be feeling pretty resentful if I had done (I know this as we did Millenium Magic for 2 years) and got served up that garbage. Over the last few years I've been a week in week out supporter but just feel the enthusiasm draining away. Had Agar not been given an extension, that might help sustain my interest as there was a light at the end of the tunnel with the possibility of change, but that's effectively been extinguished for another 2 and a half seasons.
The scary thing was listening to Paul Cullen, who had a very limited interest in the match but was saying obvious stuff like with the quality we have out, all the effort has to go into completion rates, pinpoint accurate kicks and not conceding penalties, and how best to use the wind advantage in the first half. I never rated him as a coach, but even this really basic stuff seemed more insightful than anything Agar comes out with.
The injuries are undoubtedly a factor, but not a decisive one, and only serve as a convenient excuse for Agar now. Having lost to Crusader, Harlequins and Salford, if we get beaten at Catalans, although a passholder, I'm going to be reconsidering my options at weekends. We have the quality in the squad to be top 4 with a Grade A coach. You say we are being taken for mugs and are spot on.

Given he's done feckall in the last 2 years and signed an extension what do you think "not doing a good job" would entail in his mind?

I think he meant at the end of the contract.
