You've stolen my washing From out my back garden You've tarmacked my driveway Even though I said no You've nicked my lead flashing And weighed it in at the scrappy Oh St Helen's tatters Come rob me again:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_25852.jpg

Ah, another day in the life of the only RL club in debt.

Haha, most of their fans were'nt around when Vince & co were ripping into our finances on a daily basis, so they don't understand why Mrs B a014.gif takes such delight at highlighting their plight.

£3.6m in the red, , 50% more than our debt was at it's height icon_lol.gif Merry Xmas.

2016 The Year of the Airlie Bird -on sale NOW, price £15, BUY THE BOOK RE-LIVE THE DREAM!:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19461.gif

Lets look at this from the fans angle for a minute!

Its just my opinion this, but its Funny how Neil always has a lot to say when he is having a go at us gloating about our demise or announcing the signing of one of our players and yet when the fans over there need a bit of re-assurance he refuses to comment on the story in the media, choosing to do it when he does by web chat or the club site!

With the exodus from Saltend, The Golf Stand being condemned, the need for another £400,000 to extend the East Stand (according to the Mail), Cookie being touted around the rest of Super League, the complaints of the fans onthei sites about their merchadising operation and now a debt of £3.6m at least he could give them some reassurance at this time of year! They will start the season and no doubt play it through, but they must be a bit worried when the article states that £2.2m is having to be repaid to debtors in the next few months!

I am the first to have a laugh at their expense, thats what banter is all about, but I have some sympathy for the hard core Rovers fans who have stuck by them through the hard times, they deserve better, I have no sympathy for the Hudge who has brought it all on himself, IMHO. No doubt we will hear plenty when they announce the next mill stone Mr Clinton being signed in the New Year.

Almost like they've been saving a string of bad news for this week, what with the Saltend investment to write off, 2 articles stirring it about Cooke's future and now saving this for Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas Mullan. icon_cheers.gif

Shame we can't hear the R&W moaning over the ringing of tills in the West as season passes, shirts and a great well-stocked range of merchandise flies out of the shop. icon_wink.gif

I'd just like to say a big "up yours" to all those Rovers fans who have made jibes about our finances over recent years. You reap what you sow, indeed.

Merry Christmas icon_biggrin.gif

Agree 100% with you there. The thing with Grudge is, he brings it on himself for Hull fans to have a go at him, with his constant bile towards anything F.C.
I would have more sympathy for Jack the ripper, than him t.b.h.

Agree totally with Wilf. Hard lines Hudgie, but sympathies to the hardcore rovers fans.

There was always going to be heavy investment and loss in putting Rovers back in the upper tier of the game.
Management of the process is the key.
I have every faith in Neil and the board to do this.
If however there a problems then so beit.
As City fans said it is better to have gained promotion than not at all and their future road is rocky too.

The investment has obviously paid off as we are the premier rugby league team in the city - something which many black and whites have difficulty with - infact they spend more time on here trying to pull Rovers down then making positives on their own club.

Us sensible Rovers fans knew there would be a heavy price for promotion and that manifests in later years.
HKR academy has made parallel progress with the first team and should reap rewards in attracting the better local lads.

Merry Christmas to all rugby fans out there and for the FC fans looking for cheap shots - think of the wider picture!!!

Same to you.

Looking at the wider picture, I'll go for some more expensive shots when the season gets going icon_wink.gif
