| Just wondering, what would you as fc fans think would be a successful season next year, bearing in mind the large staff turn over, time to gel and general unease at the coach, what is realistic for Agar to become 'accepted'.
Hope this isn't taken as a troll thread cos it's not meant that way, I'm honestly interested in where expectations lie.

Just before anyone else says it, I'd like to be very predictable and say "beat rovers twice, that's all that matters".
There, now that's out the way, sensible discussion.

How about your expectations? Would failure to achieve a final or the play-offs be seen as a huge failure???? Would it see the end of Morgan's tenure???

I'd be happy with a similar league year to this, probably take 5th or 6th but win a playoff game, we over achieved this year in the league sense. Would hope for a better cup run, semi would be ok, final great and a win probably out of our reach. Morgan will be ok as long as we don't have a disaster, he had plenty of points in the bank, but we all have the fickle element (most reside on rlfans) who will be calling for his head if we lose the 1st two games.

| I have no expectations. We will have a better squad, but as it stands I've got major concerns both in the halves, where Horne has been anonymous since April and Long is getting on, and in the outside backs, where, if Raynor is "unavailable" we have very little experience. Pack looks good, mind. Agar is the biggest issue we have. Would be delighted to eat some humble pie, but I just don't think his experience and (lack of) tactical ability warrant what should be one the prime jobs in the comp.
What I would really like is to have the opposite of the injury luck we've had the last 2 seasons, for the team to form a unit that's greater than the sum of its parts, for us to formulate a gameplan targetting the opposition's weaknesses and for us to continue the excellent work the club do off the pitch in terms of the commercial and community side of the business. I'm an eternal optimist and am really looking forward to seeing Fitz lead the team out and O'Meley and Long in the irregular hoops. I can't wait to see how Tom Briscoe, Turner, Tansey, Burnett and Hall ( ) develop with the new set of leaders amongst the players. I'd love to see Jack Briscoe and Reece Lyne make their debuts too. I just can't get over the doubts about Agar's leadership abilities.

| finishing 5th-8th is a realistic aim IMO
but then again I thought that was a realistic aim this year.
i'd have no problem with finishing 5th-8th with a good playoff run at the end of it. We simply aren't good enough to be top 4 IMHO. The first team squad is good on paper, but there is little backup if the 33 year old Long gets injured etc

| To be able to get to get excited about a match game...
All I want is to see my team play with pride & passion to be able to walk away from a game and believe my team gave 100%..
Oh and I expect Lauaiki, O,Meley & Fitz to give it some biff!!

| I think 5-8 is pretty realistic and will be the aim for a lot of clubs this year, what I think I was getting at was to get those positions it is about a 60% win rate, probably worse to start with, then getting better as the year goes on, would Agar keep the wolves at bay with that kind of win ratio or would the axe be called for if you went say 3 from 6.
