Still makes him a millionaire in our money...anyways I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago about this trade after the 2 guys who ripped through my house like a tornado laying the carpet in my living room n stairs took them less than 1hr & charged me 175 quid not to mention the 35 "delivery" charge even though they was comming anyhow left all the off cuts all over the place n foooked off! Not bad work when ya can get it...... |

IIRC he had only come over on a temporary basis and had always intended to return to Aus and go into business. When he was asked to stay he put a price on himself which reflected the costs of moving his family here and missing out on the business opportunity. That was too high, as you say, and he went home instead.
I don't think he was bothered TBH.  |
