There's been a lot of negativity thrown around in the past week - with some justification, it has to be said - and I know when many of us give rational thought to tomorrow's game we're more than a little worried.

But there comes a time before every game, derby games particularly, where you forget all the bad things that have gone before and start to dream about the possibility of snatching a sweet, sweet victory against the run of form.

We have, on paper, a side more than capable of beating the Red and Whites - a side that not too long ago looked like they had real potential. We have loads of local talent in the team and they'll be running out before a packed KC stadium for one of the biggest games of the season. If that doesn't inspire them, nothing will.

There'll be plenty of time for negative thoughts if the improvement we all expect isn't forthcoming, but, for now, I'm thinking nothing but happy thoughts about the moment on Friday afternoon that we silence the smug b*stards from Preston Road with a famous derby victory.

In a sense we are in a no lose situation. On current form Rovers should hammer us so all the pressure will be on them so lets see how they handle it. In my current rational state I expect us to lose but come kick off I will be completely blinkered and expect us to win. so C'mon you ULLLLLLLARGGGHHHHHHHHH

I would say it is the total opposite, bookies seem to think so as well.

Even better. The bookies are hardly ever wrong - so it's a definite FC victory!

I said earlier in the week that they last minute Myler try might have done us a huge favour. Had we won the CC game then cracks may have been papered over, the fact we lost the game and the subsequent fallout means that the coaches/players will have a lot to prove in the next game and especially with it being a derby game.

I think we will play much better than in recent weeks and if we do hit our early seasn form then we will the game. However if we don't then Rovers will win the game and with Saints to come on Monday the pressure will start to mount on Agar.

We've being playing poorly, and on the face of it Rovers have being playing really well, but in reality look who they have played in the last 5 games. An injury ravaged Wakefield (and they didn't make that look easy), a poor Warrington (they lost) and then Celtic twice and Salford (and although they came through good in the end in each of these they looked very vulnerable in the first half). Rovers are a good side, don't get me wrong, however, probably due to them being disappointed with us, people seem to be massively over rating them. I think it will a very close and tight game and imo we will edge it. As someone said earlier, if we lose then there will be plenty of time and reason to be negative, but I really don't think we will lose. The lads have a lot to prove and I for one think they will come good.
