As the new season approaches and with the bookmakers delivering odds on how they think the season will go, we're going to have a betting thread for the forum. We seem to get a thread like this week on week so it has been decided to create this thread for all odds to go in. It keeps the place a little tidier and it's also easier to look back at the odds from the start of the season and see if anybody managed to pick a longshot that paid off. There are a few guidlines to follow however1. Please attempt to keep all odds/tips on Hull FC and Rugby League. You may post tips on other sports too but keep these to a minimum as there is a betting thread available on the Other Sports forum for you to use for this.

2. This is [inot[/i a place to create bets with other forum members. As has happened in the past, two people have created a bet, then when the outcome has been decided, the loser doesn't pay up, causing conflict on the board. This will not be tolerated and as a result, nobody is to create a bet with another member. Anybody who tries to create one will be warned and if it is attempted again, they will then be banned.

3. Please provide a link to any odds you post so that users can easily see any other bets that may be on offer.

4. Finally, just like anything on RLFANS, all posts must not breach the rlAUPrl.

Please make use of this thread as it is for everybody's benefit.

If thats the case there are a few that may be worth taking.

Just a quick couple of questions. In rule no.1 you say post your "tips" on hull fc,how can you have a "tip" on a rugby match?? Surly you mean opinion would a "tip" not be along the lines of a certain couple of saints players couple of years back?? Insider info n all that leavin the board open to all kinds of law suits?? Oh & do you have to be 18 to post your "tips?"

Wigan +11 at 7-1 and Wakey +17 at 9-1 look quite good to me on the regular season handicap.

Very big odds considering he's one of the key players in Bradford's team.

Can't see it being a Hull player TBH or a Wire player to be perfectly frank, it's just not the way the rugby league press vote, you've got to look at the so-called 'big 4', 8/1 for Trent Barrett i thinks a bit short, you can never write off Wellens but i feel the RL press have had their way with him and at 10/1, it's not worth it.If your looking from simple form from the back end of last year, at 16/1 Jamie Peacock seems a reasonable bet. My couple of quid however, is going on his form from last year, how he is expected to develop this year and again the way he is portrayed in the RL media, 25/1 for Sam Burgess, i now await for the news that he's broken his leg and is out for the rest of the season

The Doggies to pick up the wooden spoon in the NRL at 12/1 is a hell of a bet.

As is Fielden to get named in the Dream Team at 7/1

Berrigan to win the harry sunderland award 33/1

Worth a quid at least

Berrigan could be the best player in Superleague by a country mile and they still wouldn't give him MOS.

He's not British and he doesn't play for either Saints, Leeds, Bradford or Wigan.

Heard on sportstalk on blunderside that jose is 20/1 with billy hill's for the Newcastle job, worth a punt.
