With rumours circulating that we have signed Motu Tony I was just wanting bit of information on him.

I always associated him with a decent squad player whilst playing for you, always able to slip in where ever needed and put in 100%

I know he was released and then has been playing low level rugby union, so that doesn't sound to good to me. Is he shot? or just simply gone crap?

IIRC he was injured, he is far from crap, if he can stay fit (and I suspect he might) then he'll put his heart and soul on the line for you, he's a talented footballer and someone I would be happy to see back in the game if the rumour is true, he's also a top bloke!

great player when fit, always 100% committed and can play fullback, centre, wing, in the halves or hooker. Also a model professional off the field.

however the big problem is he has suffered a succession of injuries since 2008, so there would be big doubts if he could ever get his form back.

Motu was a man of the universe for Hull. Put his heart and soul into playing, in every game, and often showed real class in his playing. Would be a good signing IMO!

Having been at every "low level game of union" he played I can tell you that he had got himself back fit, which took longer than FC were willing to fund and he played very well in his five games, scoring a number of tries playing on both the wing and full back in what is a good standard of union. From there he went on trial with a view to securing a pro contract in union with Nottingham and I think he played at either Whitehaven or Workington at the tail end of last year.

In my opinion he will be a good addition, great bloke,big heart and no lack of skill. I'd have been happy if FC had taken him back.

Very good player, his form for us in the 2006 season was sensational, unfortunately for us he never really reached these heights again, still got time on his side though.

If fit a very good player who can cover many positions , just don't play him at full back.

Motu on form was class the only problem towards the end of his career here was keeping him fit!

He scored so great tries whilst he was here, just look at the one he scored in the CC final 05!

I hope it's true. Would love to see motu back. Always remember his great try at cardiff and the one in the play offs against bradford.

I don't know who else he has signed but Kear looks like he has sneaked under the radar with some potentially shrewd signings with Mariano, the two young lads from Wigan and Motu if true.

Motu gave his all every game, shame we got rid. if you can keep him fit, what a great signing he'll be, all the best to him.
