| Dirty B astard 100% meant to do it....had a 1st attempt and missed, but 2nd go was perfect for him.
Watch his reaction when Sky cameras are on him, after 30seconds of self masturbating, he realises he should try and react and goes for the 'no way' shake of his head...which was pathetic anyway.
6 matches should be the minimum he gets.

| I think it was Jamie Shaul said to Child, how does it benefit Hull if we went on to lose the match & the Weller gets a ban? Benefits us in no way at all & we lost a player because of it.

A perfect example of why the system is flawed.

| The 'On Report' System is a complete joke and a cop out by the officials to actually deal with something themselves.
Hauraki meant it and as VOR says he had two attempts at it. He knew exactly what he was doing and hopefully the RFL will not be so tolerant. This type of incident ranks along the lowest a play can do to any opponent is cowardly and nothing more than a cheap shot with an intent to injure.
Did anybody else notice it looked as though Ellis was giving Childs quite abit of hassle about it and subsequently as soon as he went in for the next tackle at the restart he blew straight away.

Given the MRP can look at anything themselves, "on report" is now completely pointless. Crowds see it as a cop out and it's no longer needed

I tweeted the refs during their Q&A session asking why we still have the report system when they look at incidents after the match anyway. I got no reply. I do however think this was one of the rare times where the ref was correct in putting it on report as it was clear he didn't see it

| If he does get banned that will be 2 games out of the last 3 for Hull where an opponent cops a sizeable ban (Hock with his 7 games) which will provide no benefit at all to Hull.
On to the disciplinary this weekend I note that Aiton's spear tackle from Friday's game hasn't even been listed - wonder who he plays for?

We`ve not had a level playing field in years now. I was talking to a discipline fella from Hull at Wembley last year and he siad that even their hands are tied by the complicated rules laid down. He even complained about Catalan having a Video ref every home game. "Blinkered vision at the RFL" was his quote.

Child clearly didn't see it and neither did the TJ (no surprise). I'm sure it would have been picked up by the MRP but the big screen doesn't help the refs, especially with the repeated showings. Puts them in a difficult position with the crowd baying for a card, a penalty, the player's head.
If he didn't see it, he can't do anything and on report on the basis of an apparently serious injury was all he could do. Shame the crowd generally don't appreciate that.

Isn't it that the panel are obligated to look at incidents on report, though? They could just ignore things that aren't on report, so there is still a slight point in doing it as it ensures that it is reviewed and explained.

So what do you suggest when the officials don't see it? Perhaps all matches should be replayed with the offending team only having 12 players?

In this case there was an opportunity for the case to be reviewed there and then seeing as the video ref was available. They should be able to refer incidents to the video ref or the video ref should be able to send a message down to the ref saying that he's missed something.
