Right, being a nerdy accountant and enjoying the planning aspect of a holiday as much as the holiday itself, I'm well on already with the packing to the extent that the spare bedroom is now the holiday mission control (bit like that Boots advert). icon_biggrin.gif

We're staying near Beziers for 11 nights and I wondered whether anyone was familiar with the area and has any top tips for places to visit? Planning a day in Carcassonne, couple of days at the beach (Portiragnes seems to get good reviews), probably Montpellier and/or Nimes as well. Has anyone got any tips on days out for the kids? Aqualand waterpark at Cap d'Agde seemed a good idea but gets slated on Tripadvisor. Anyone been to the Dinosaur park at Meze? (no comments about Long/Fitzgibbbon, thanks icon_wink.gif )

Cheers for any info icon_smile.gif

We're starting the 'Holiday' in Toulouse and then moving on to Sète for the weekend and more, apparently it's the "little Venice of France" www.en.ot-sete.fr/www-accueil_SE ... -SETE.html
There's plenty of beach and a few activities for the kids.
Montpellier's a vibrant city, just watch out for the trams.icon_lol.gif
We went to Carcassone last year and enjoyed visiting its medieval city.
From Sète we're moving on to Nimes.

Thanks - Sete sounds good and plenty of things for the kids as well. Nice itinerary you've got there - amphitheatre at Nimes looks impressive. Hoping not to get dragged to the Haribo museum nearby icon_wink.gif

I'm looking forward to a round of 'Old Faithful' in there for sure. icon_lol.gif

Been to Nimes, nice place, lots of character. Also been to le cap d'agde, beautiful place with a trendy little marina, very expensive though.

We are driving down on the 7th and staying in Sauvian for a week, I have not planned much YET but I did find the local wine guide, I intend on sampling and bringing back as much as I can.

Fly to Girona the Wednesday before. 3 nights there then drive to Beziers, two nights there and then 2 nights in Figueras. Was hoping to see Preckie etc off, but not sure I'll be able to now.

Looking forward to a nice relaxing week. Unfortunately I have to go to the match on Saturday night icon_confused.gif

I just googled for the Haribo museum, looks good!! I think a day trip through Setes, Nimes and ending up at the Haribo museum is on the cards!

I did consider not going to the game but things are looking up a bit, plus maybe is the first glimpse of Lauaki.

Its my first time to Catalans, Beziers staduim looks big, do most people get tickets before they go ? I don't think the club has them yet.
