How come it was so low ? First game of the season, a rake of new signings and raised expectations, and playing one of the most exciting teams in the league. Did the Wire fans not show in any numbers, and was it due to the weather or were they not prepared to pay Adam Pearsons excessive admission charge.

I'll ignore the last comment - I thought there were more than 12.7k there. Disappointing really, to say there was a great turnout by Warrington.

for me, it was the weather that put more off, knew two or three who didn't go for that reason alone

how much is it to sit at leeds in a out dated stand?

i'll answer my own question as i doubt we will get one, £23 to sit in the paddock, £27 to sit in the north or £30 to sit in the carneigie

you maybe SL champions, but at them prices its even worse than ours!

and according to sinfield, your players arent the best paid players in the game, so why the need to charge that much?

Don't normally respond to trolls but there was also the small matter of the weather, it was very cold and minor roads were difficult to traverse.

Excessive admission charges coming from a Leeds fans is quite amusing.

You were close, £23 paddock, £27 north or Carnegie wings, £30 Carnegie centre.
The difference is if I choose to stand on the Western Terrace when Hull come, it costs me the same as you. If i choose to stand on the Carnegie terrace behind the sticks, i pay the same as you. When I pre purchased my tickets last season it cost me £19 behind the sticks, same as the hull fans at the other end. I don't see how adam Pearson is encouraging away numbers this season when he now charges £23 or £25 behind the sticks when the same ticket in the Hull end is £19. In such financially tight times Pearson is sticking a big finger up to the loyalest RL fans, the ones that travel home and away. I think the seats are overpriced at Headingley but if you're on a budget you can see the game for £20, as most fans do. pearson isn't giving away fans that choice at the KC.

You're not really going to quibble over £3 are you? Is it that important to you?

Stop being silly, nobody's trolling. If you're a proper Hull fan you get there, simple as that. Yes it was cold and conditions weren't ideal, but you're making modern day fans seem mollycoddled when they can't put themselves out to see what was in theory a massively promising game. If you think £20 at Leeds is excessive then that's your opinion, but that is the average starting price for viewing a top class game. nobody is forcing you to sit in the more expensive seats that start at £23 for a side view at Headingley.

Did you have that pre-typed by any chance? Just waiting for the bites icon_wink.gif
Anyway, simple answer - go sit with the Hull fans if it bothers you that much.

It all depends how much disposable income you've got, having been layed up for months after a back op £3 is a significant percentage of my "income" from the state. It's obviously not that important to you, it would appear you're in a better financial position than me right now. It's a £4 increase on last season, allied to the spiralling travel costs it will make a big difference to a lot of people.

So you don't have an axe to grind then ?

As I said roads were difficult and the police were advising people not to travel, there was also a lot of freezing fog around. If you consider peoples personal safely less important than a rugby game you are more of a t!t than I thought.

icon_lol.gif ,yeah right. You know what would would happen if the hull fans came in the south stand at headingley or if we went in the Hull end in any numbers. Unfortunately certain fixtures dictate you sit/stand with your own fans, a sad reflection on the game really.
