He never was staying with us and St's clearly don't want him anymore.

And what does that tell you? Think he'll go ok at Bradford but take away goal kicking he is an average winger. Not massively fast, not strong or a yard maker, did ok for us but we were a team in form so made it easier for him, would still worry the flaws in his game, high balls defensive frailties would show over the course of a full season. Very happy with our wing options next yr.

| Sales wise we would of done well if Jamie Foster but as you say we have 2 good wingers and it would of being hard to fit him in that position as i don't see him being any better then what we had.

| Good luck to him...came in and did a job for us..always gave 100% and you cant ask for more.As for our wingers...Lineham is being groomed to be Briscoes replacement if he goes and Crookes im not convinced about yet.

| Think Jamie dd a job for us when we were struggling for a winger pus the goal kicking was a definate bonus, but as previouslt said. There is no way he would be a first choice winger given our current squad. Hope he sorts out the flaws in his game and look forward to seeing with the Bulls

| Certainly think Foster was worth a 1-year deal, he impressed me last season.
Granted, not the best winger in the world, but in the right squad, a solid team player who had lacked a lot of confidence.
Would have still been a shoe-in for a starting spot in 2013 as well....

Don't agree with this at all, For me he'd be 3rd choice winger for us at best! Briscoe and Lineham to start and Crookes on the verges. Yes Crookes lacks experience but he has pace to burn and is more powerful than Foster.
Foster's best attribute is his kicking and we don't need him for that. He offers very little else apart from been solid, and I don't want just a solid player playing on the wing.

| Still would have prefered Foster over Crookes.
His try scoring is impressive and off course his goal kicking. Crookes i just dont see anything in him but time will tell.

| Good luck to the lad. He did a good job for us and I'm glad he's sorted for next season. I would have been happy for us to sign him if we didn't already have Lineham and Crookes, both of whom I believe are better long term prospects.

Agreed. Many saying they would have preferred Foster over Crookes, but that view probably based on having seen Foster in a B&W shirt for a few games. Gentle has seen something in Crookes and his judgement is more important than anyone on this forum, as he aint got much wrong so far.
Foster was a good short term fix, was impressed with his attitude while he was here, did a decent job on the wing with the added bonus that he could kick goals as Ticks was injured at the time. Glad he's got what should be a starting spot at Bradford, and should get a good reception at the KC next season

| good luck to him, he enjoyed his time with us and maybe we regenerated his career a bit. he will get a good reception when he returns.
as others have said we have good wing options and if lineham never got his injury we wouldn't have signed him anyway.
by the way i wish the usual suspects would give young jason crookes at least a chance to perform in a good team, and with a good coach before writing him off, why can't people learn that under gentle players (especially young ones) seem to take their game to a better level. give the lad some time please
