| Having watched the incident on Long in real time (on TV), my initial response was "gouging". After watching it again in replay, I am even more convinced. The Salford player had not one but two goes at his eyes and I sincerely hope the incident is cited.

| Only saw the replay at the Willows and it looked like the Salford player had a good go at Longy .

I'm not sure the first one was intentional but I totally agree it was intentional the second time. Thought Salford were actually quite a dirty team today.

Looked like it didn't it, not a good thing to see at all.

| Parker on Long you mean?
I didn't see anything in it tbh, just an unfortunate accident.
Might have another look in view of what you lot have said.

I echo that thought.
It doesn't take forensic expert to spot that Parker has TWO goes at Long's eyes. I hope he gets the full force of the disciplinary committee, which will unfortunately probably be a commendation, as Long was in the wrong for thrusting his eyes onto Parker's fingers.

Have to admit I thought it was deliberate too!

| Looked very dodgy, there were certainly some fingers going in around the eyes.

| I'm not sure - but don't judge it on the slo-mo, it'll make it look more calculated. Looked to me that it was one of those freak things that you couldn't do if you tried. Not nice for Long, but I think you have to give benefit of the doubt - a caution at most, IMO.

| I'm undecided on this. One side of me is saying that it was un-intentional and then the other side of me is saying you dont often see a tackler make the tackle with his thumb sticking out towards a player face, they usually have a clenched fist or grab at something, Parker did neither.

I was willing to allow benefit of doubt until the second attempt

| I watched it with a mate and when Parker went back a second time called it gouging - once can be a clumsy accident, but to go back into the same area in the same tackle looks malicious. Hard one for officials to call in the heat of a game as you can't always see these things in a three man tackle.
