Paea, to replace O'Meley
Thompson, to replace Galea
Biggs? to replace Briscoe
I'm hoping we offload Johnson, and Feka is his replacement

So that leaves Lynch and Tickle to be replaced, so I'd expect another prop and back rower to come in.

If Feka is our replacement for Lynch, then that would be shocking

Lynch has had a poor season IMO so wouldn't be a big loss and so has tickle. They have been good in the past but this seasons form is not top 6 standard. Recruitment needs to be betters though. I honestly don't think Thompson is better than our current back rows. Unfair on Bowden, Hadley etc who probably won't get a chance because of him. Same scenario as Johnson. Don't think he offers much either.

Not sure why Johnson takes the stick he does. Wouldn't have him in my first 17 but he is a good squad player who never let's us down. I understand the argument about him potentially holding back one of the other youngsters but I certainly wouldn't be getting rid and bringing in a replacement as others have said.

McDonnell
Lineham
Crooks
Arundel
Biggs?
Horne
Miller
Paea
Houghton
Watts
Ellis
Westerman
Whiting

Green
Feka
Heremaia
Pitts/Thompson/A N Other

If I had to pick a 17 now for round 1 next year that would be it.

I think lynch was gutted after being stripped of the captaincy after gentle said he had done a great job.How would we feel ?

Same here. Been thinking the same thing.

Might not have done anything special but that is because he is hardly ever played.

Always the first to be dropped but puts in a lot more effort than some others.

You can't rely on blooding so many youngsters to turn a team around.

Neither can we rely on Crookes and Arundel suddenly being good enough, or getting a good full season out of Horne and Yeaman (due to age).

Need at least one more prop (a grafter, not an impact player), a centre, a winger and a halfback. Simples.

We need a big pack leading Prop who plays big minutes, a line breaking SR, a HB who doesn't go missing 4 out of 5 games, a strike centre to replace pi$$ poor Yeaman and a winger to replace the god awful Crookes.

Yes we need a direct replacement for Lynch. Feka is a very different type of prop.

God how we miss Manu.

Yeaman is finished. Our starting centres should be Arundel and Crooks.

Hopefully Biggs will replace Crookes.

But where are the quality half backs?

I actually felt for the guy last night. Been a good servant to Hull but Cudjoe at times was just taking the .
Similar fall off a cliff for Tickle - another good servant but his form this season has been absolutely shocking.

Yeaman and Tickle are both finished. I find it hard to believe that Yeaman has been retained as long as he has and that we actually tried to retain Tickle with another contract.

Tickle isn't our problem anymore but unfortunately we'll have to put up with Yeaman for at least another season. Cudjoe made him look like a little old man last night, very embarrassing!
