| Although I personally don't like the kid, and many other don't either. Would you have him back. I know I will get a lot of stick for this but honestly we haven't been the same team since he left.
What with Longs injuries and Horne seems past his best we could do with a good HB or a good ball handling LF and he is available. Even if it was just a stop gap for a season would it be worth it. Plus now with Raynor gone we might be able to get a decent ink supplier, Non of that inviable stuff he used last time

| I'm over the Cookegate affair as such. The reason I wouldn't have him back is because he's not very good.

| He's also another player who is way past there best, theres a reason even wakey didn't offer him a contrct, not a patch on what he used to be, and people want us to move forward as a team yet still want mediocre players

| If we could have the Paul Cooke of 5 years ago Id take him back in a heartbeat. Not sure he's up to it these days though.

We haven't been the same team since he left. But he isn't the same player that left us. He's been on a steady downward spiral since Old Trafford 2006 and a return to us would do nothing to stop that decline. It would be a waste of salary cap space for very little return on our part. There is a reason why, during the course of this season, both Justin Morgan and John Kear have decided he's past his sell by date.
The last thing this squad needs is another clapped out, past-it, has-been littering the place up.
It has nothing to do with the circumstances of his departure anymore. Paul Cooke is simply no longer capable of playing at the top level of SL.

| He must still be a Hull fan as he was leaving the game yesterday 5 mins before the end when I did, as for having him back, in a heartbeat, he is not the player he was but still miles better then anything we can field at 6.

| Would hate to have him back, but if our recruitment continues to stall and we run out of options I can see this happening as a last resort. Said this last night leaving the ground. Just hope James Rule sticks to his principles.

| We would look completely ridiculous if we re-signed him. Nailed on therefore.

| I'd much rather bring in some young blood from a lower league team .
We've got to build for the future not just make do year on year , and build means bring on youngsters in key positions !

| Anyone who thinks that a player deemed not good enough for Wakey is the answer to our half back problems needs their bumps felt.
Really.

I know you have a bit of man love for Cooke, but this is going some all the same. He's finished. Done. Fat, slow, and devoid of clue. He's also a hugely disruptive influence and a nightmare with his off-field antics. He would be the worst signing in the club's history - and he'd be up against some pretty stiff competition.
