| This is aimed at the sport as a whole and not a knee-jerk after yesterday' s shocking performance. I just think rugby league at the minute especially super league has a real lack of quality throughout and the standard is poor. It's also the same at our team many broken records every pre season about best pre season they have had but turn up with same performances season after season. Just wondering of anyone else felt they are losing interest in the sport and standard is all time low ?

| I couldn't agree more and this coming from a Wigan fan with two trophies in the cupboard. The whole game needs a massive change and a clean sweep from top to bottom. It's a shame really I used to live and breath rugby league but now it's just something I watch at the weekend. I'm still a season ticket holder and will continue to be but the game needs direction and igniting , it's definitely lost its spark.

| I think its at its height since going full time & we are not in awe of the speed of the game anymore..plus the big name players are moving on & the top players are staying in the NRL its about cash not passion..making the game suffer. Imo

Whilst I agree with that, by the same argument players should give 100% to earn it. Some seem to want to just turn up and go through the motions. (As an aside, "motions" is also another term for sh**e.)

| Been steadily losing interest over the last few years.
It's to the point that I don't always watch the Sky games anymore. Just not bothered.
Can only see the new format making people even more disinterested.

| Total agree from a Giants fan. The sport as lost its sparkle somehow. Is it the lack of old school rugby league with dirty, gritty, get stuck in there forwards! Missing the shoulder charge? Stupid sky ruining it with Thursday matches which means teams are not getting fully rested. I think promotion/relegation is a step forward but not sure about the new mini season at end. Also as said on boots n all CC needs to be brought back earlier!

| As a Widnes supporter it's not been the same for me since the early nineties.Yes I know it helps when you have a great team to watch with such as Offiah,Koloto,Sorensen Davies and Myler etc, back then when one game had finished you couldn't wait for the next one the following weekend and spent all the days in between talking rugby.I think the rot set in when Wigan won all those challenge cups and championships in succession. It just took the goodnesss out of the sport and for me it never returned. These days I sometimes forget there has been a game live on tv which once would never had happened and I am not even disappointed I missed it.when I do watch a game I often find myself looking at the clock and waiting for it to finish.

| Got to say the comments here mirror my own thoughts exactly. I've followed the game for 50 years attending international, cup final etc never missed a game on sky simply couldn't get enough rl. Now I'm totally disillusioned with the game
The disaplinary is a joke, refs generally useless and the muppets on sky are making the game a bigger joke than Eddie Waring ever did. I'm a fan of P & R but the new structure for next season is beyond me.
I'll renew my pass for next season out of loyalty and to celebrate our 150 anniversary but unless things change that will probably be it for me.

| Agreed.
There are a few things going on here, I think.
- move from the Boulevard and associated lack of atmosphere
- only two competitions - if you're out of the cup in the first round, and having a crap season by May, then what's the point?
- changes to the game, seems a bit stale at the minute
And a load of other stuff. Fact is, standing in the 3d with the same characters you also saw at away games week in, week out, enjoying a great atmosphere, in whatever cack weather we were experiencing, was far better than watching another tedious season of averageness in a less-than-half-empty all-seater stadium with the atmosphere of a vacuum-chamber.
One day, it'll change. In the meantime, I'm still following FC, and will continue to do so. Maybe, just maybe, if they stop mucking around with the format of the game, it'll settle down and get more interesting?

| People who go on about the atmosphere at The Boulevard must be forgetting 1990 onwards.
We've frequently had a better atmosphere at since the move to the KC compared to the last decade at The Boulevard.

The atmosphere at the KC is lunar .
A 15K capacity Stadium with terracing as well as seating would be a lot better . A close to the pitch intimidating atmosphere for the opposition is what is needed .
Teams come to the KC and love it not hate it !!
Who remembers the days when Schofield wouldn't play on the
3d stand side of the Boulevard for Leeds !
Yesterday for me summed up our home support , pathetic !! All we ever get is few rounds of come on you Hull. And we definately only sing when we are winning !!
Hull FC at the moment , players and fans no passion !

Couldn't agree more, same story different (and a lot more successful ) club. From the buffoons on Sky to the people running the game we need a change.Watch Premier sports and see how our great game is promoted, presented and played in Aus.I know we haven't got as many good players as they have but our game is a pale imitation of their game.We want a shake up from top to bottom,Neil Hudgell was right. He may be the chairman of the dobbins but you can't dispute that he has his finger on the pulse.

I agree with this 100%. There seems to be a negative energy at home games at the moment, I suppose that won't help the players but generally crowds respond to the performance of the players and if that's not very good then the crowd is often quiet. In terms of the ground something similar to what saints or wire have got would be great for us.
