Good luck to them at Donny. Surprising that they have been released mid contract. Both were top performers for 19's. (Sure Wilson captained them as well). Also played out of position a lot because the 19's had a weaker pack compared to other clubs. It's a shame they haven't had much of a chance against senior players. Stuff like this highlights the importance of an A team. Too old to play for 19's yet will feature every now and again if sent to Donny on loan. At least they may be playing regular at own clubs other than others that have just made the numbers up in training and had no game time like many last season (Hadley, Kenty and players before)

| its all down to the ridiculous set up below 1st team level, if you are too old for the u19s then you can't stay at a superleague club and expect regular football. the dual club thing is daft because you can't really commit to either club

| I heard that bringing back a Reserves/U23 competition was being discussed as part of the 2015 reorganisation but I've not heard anything mentioned recently.

That would be great, I actually think under 21 with 2 over aged players allowed would be fine.

Anything like that would be a much more sensible approach. With the current situation not only do we have to rely on dual reg to get players games we also have nowhere for our senior players to play when they are coming back from an injury or on the fringes.

| The A team system worked fine. We'll get back there eventually.

I thought that is why our squad is on dual reg so returning injured players can play at donny? Surely the championship & U23s level wouldn't be much different & the clubs would have to have 4 games per week 16s,19s,23s & first team...could clubs afford the squads?

| I think the main thing to look at here is the relationship you have with Doncaster. They can still get the 5 dual registration players but also have two young lads who will be good enough to play almost every week at that level. I would be there is a clause in the contract that Hull FC have first refusal on their services come the end of their current Doncaster contract.
Cooke and Radford have clearly looked at how to benefit from this partnership and I can only see it doing good over the coming couple of years. Especially for the young lads.

Recall that Morley and Briers both had games at their duel reg club Swinton last season when they were returning from injury, not sure if Cooke / Radders have built in this scenario for our set up Donny
