Is this 10 favourite films or an opinion of the 10 "best"? E.g. Elf would be in my favourites for sentimental reasons, but's not really a cinematographic masterpiece.

| Forrest Gump isn't autistic in the films. I know he's a savant in the book, but I don't think he is in the film.
Fight Club is always high up in my list of favourite ever films.

2 The Godfather Part II (a work of genius, every scene is superb)
3 Monty Python's Life of Brian (the most quotable film ever!)
4 The Shawshank Redemption (all about hope over adversity - with a stunning twist towards the end)

| Seabiscuit, a classic. Like the Saw films too. Love a good old Vietnamlike war movie and corny Day After Tomorrowlike stuff. Any true story classics also.

Can't disagree too much with that would include Independance Day because its so naff its brilliant, and Whats eating Gilbert Grape, but for me I am sorry to say Lord of the Rings would be my number one by a mile. WE all looked forward ever Christmas to seeing the next episode. A book that you would feel was impossible to make into a film and yet Jackson did it briliantly! The Matrix Trilogy was good too, I keep watching it and I hope to understand it some day soon!
