| After yet another defeat for this former great team, now seemingly in free fall after seven or eight defeats on the bump, the Leeds coach seems unmoved, and unconcerned regarding his teams plight, is this an inner confidence in his troops, or foolishness. Hypothetically we could have had the same problems due to injuries, would we as fans be baying for blood, or sticking by our coach.

| Seems like they are short of leaders since Sinfield retired and a lot of their senior players have moved on.Won't be long before he,s getting the vote of confidence

I did think Myler was a weird signing for them.

| Myler has proven a good signing and is the least of Leeds problems. Moon isn't a half back of any description which leaves Myler having to do everything.
McDermott's confidence no doubt stems from his team's ability to turn things round in the past and he's probably fairly sure of a good performance in the Challenge Cup semi. Lose that and his job is under threat even from Hetherington who is always loyal to those that have brought success.

Terrible decision by Hetherington. Toulouse, Toronto up, Widnes, Leeds down. But the RFL wouldn’t allow that surely.

| I personally think that Hetherington is using McDermott as a scape goat for his lack of player investment. Gone are the days where players were willing to be paid peanuts just for the glory of wearing a Leeds shirt and the recruitment at Leeds over the last few years has been shocking!!

But is it GH that wont spend or PC? Maybe they know about the league structure in future seasons?

Agree with you Karen, I think Hetherington is guilty of trying to keep RL in the backwater and thats unfortunately what seems to happening to Leeds now.
The recruitment under GH over he past few years has been very poor and they have lost a huge amount of talent and quality but simply not replaced it. On top of that their youth system does not seem as prolific as it has been in the past either and a good majority of senior players are nearing the end of their player days.
Maybe this in one reason why GH doesn't like the idea of SL growing its brand and selling itself? Whilst GH has done a lot for the game and Leeds as a club maybe its also time he moved on as he's a relic.
Seems poor timing to sack McDermott now with nobody else coming in either.
