Watched his post match interview last night, and by the look in his eyes I don't think even he fully understands how he managed it. Getting across there was a feat in itself, but to then pull off a tackle like that was just incredible.
When he's talking to Bill Arthurs his eyes are saying "I did it, I know I did it, but I haven't a clue as to how I did it" almost as if he's as stunned as the rest of us as to what happened.

Also, even if Fox had somehow managed to stay in touch I don't think he would have been able to get the ball down, because Tom also managed to turn him over and was about to get his body between ball and ground.

Not really...earlier on in season Briscoe was making same mistakes as Hall but not getting dropped or critised and people just pointed it out.
