| Our recent torturers come to town next
Is it a win or bust game ?
League positions make it a 4 pointer ? We play them 3 times and we must win 2/3 in order to stay around the Top 4
For me - we have to win
The players basically took the p**s against Saints by having an afternoon off
So are we due for a ‘performance’ ?
Really hope so

| You've probebly the best chance of beating them possible. Chester reckons 75% of the total salary is sitting in the benches injured, and they don't spend up to cap. Half of the forwards are missing, and most of the backs are either out or playing out of position.

IF the above is near true then surely we are due a win

11 out of the starting 17 are out injured, plus some squad players. Fifita also looked crocked in both of the Easter games. It's from Chesters Post Leeds match interview, it's available on various social media outlets

I understand why your nervous with Wakefield’s recent record against you and your own inconsistency but don’t be. Usually believe every game is winnable and injuries are not an excuse in a squad game but in this case I’ll have to make an exception.
I hope we can win but when your points scorers and try makers are all crocked it’s hard. It’s not to say their replacements are poor far from it but it takes time to gel.
All you need to do is be slightly better than Leeds and you’ll win easily and you must want to after recent results against us. If you don’t then you need to ask serious question about your team.

Which 11 are missing and what team do you expect to play?

He didn't say it was an excuse but it is a factor. If you have no recognised no9 for example as may be the case this week you are clearly at a disadvantage, to say otherwise is ridiculous, so to a point it is an excuse. Having players out is bad for any team, missing all your players in certain positions is a massive factor.
As far as I can tell Trinity have one recognised centre and no hooker. They are doing it tough but they won't be the first or the last, player resources are finite even at clubs like Saints.

I've looked at the list and the players who you'd expect to play if fit are,
Brough
Miller
Johnstone
Tupou
Randell
Wood
Ashurst
Batchelor
Huby
England
Arundal
I think thats them all, I'd say the brains of the team are now missing and most of those played when they beat Hull last month.

Looking at your squad from last week, it still looks decent and experienced apart from Kershaw and the hooker, as you say you have a decent pack and backs, lacking halfs and particularly hooker. Although Hamphire Reynolds and Jowitt are decent back ups.
I'm still not confident.

I hope that reflects in your players as well.

TBF up until this season we have been luckier than most on the injury front unlike yourselves who it seems like for years now you suffered more than most, but injuries are part and parcel of the game and most of our 11 injured players are or have been mid to long term, so although it's not used as an excuse wholly if every other club uses it for an excuse why should we be any different.

That's not true we did well on the injury front in 2016 and 2017, no coincidence that we finished top 4 and won 2 CC in those two seasons.
Unfortunately we suffered badly last year and at the start of the year, starting to get players back now and in a decet position, take away our two massive defeats we have done well this year, need to beat one of the teams above us now, as we haven't managed that this year. so big test coming up.
