Time for action Adam
if you are not going to replace Lee Radford then cut some of the deadwood we have and look again at the contract extensions we have given and get some new players in to freshen up the squad.
I also know The club are still in contact with Motu and there are 2nd grade players in Australia far superior to some we have so time to start serious work so we dont completely lose the momentum built in 2016 and 2017

Did you and Bumpy even contemplate having a glance over your shoulders as you rowed away in the lifeboat while the women and children were stranded on the top deck?

And therein lies the problem. Stop signing overage, average, antipodean players and invest in your own academy and reserve grade.
Having six, seven or eight overseas players is NOT the answer. The RFL need to act quickly and get the numbers down to at most four, personally I'd like it to be two.

| Rogues is right. However, do we think that a shared academy can ever produce enough players to allow 2 Super League clubs to flourish?
In effect, it has to produce twice as many players as the other academies do just to match them.

My feeling is that Hull and Rovers, for most of their modern histories, have been net importers high-end of RL talent, even setting aside overseas players. And I'm not sure it is all that much down to just investment. I suspect that local fan interest is high, even by heartlands standards, allowing us to support two clubs but the number of outstanding athletes with the inclination and potential to play SL to a good standard is more in line with what you'd expect given our relatively modest catchment population - Hull and the whole of East Yorkshire is about 600,000 people, which is a good bit less than Leeds by itself and West Yorkshire is 2.2 million. Nigh on four times as many people providing talent to supply only twice as many current SL teams.
Perhaps to compensate for that the net is being spread wider sooner - Oakes, Dagger, Bienek, the Badham twins and so on. If we can draw on a big enough pool of raw(-ish) talent, then we've a chance. It comes with logistical challenges, but if we rely only on lads from West Hull and Skirlaugh, then it'll always be a bit of a struggle.

Last night our only overseas players were Faraimo, Talanoa, Carlos and Manu.
Of those Manu has vast NRL experience, and while out of form currently can't be considered average.
Faraimo has scored a lot of tries in a struggling team and physically is bigger than a lot of wingers in SL, ive also seen some creative kicks and touches this year. He has more skills to be developed I feel.
The other two you might have more of an argument for 'Wouldent a British player be as good or better' but you have to consider the home grown centre/wing option is the unimpressive Logan.
We did develop our last few centres and Wings but Briscoe got so good he chose to leave, Lineham couldn't behave himself and of course we developed and played Yeaman for years. I don't think we are the worst club for development.

Also, actually it depends on the question. From a Hull perspective, if the question is 'how many overseas players were in the team that broke your Wembley hoodoo to lift the 2016 Challenge Cup?', the answer is in fact seven. And it was six the next year, when they won again. It's all too easy to scapegoat these migrant workers, but if you want success, you should look at what a player can do before you look at where he's from or where he learned to do it.

James Smailes:
Have an exclusive online shortly with chairman Adam Pearson which Hull FC fans won’t want to miss.

Difference this time is we dont have Manu, Pritchard, Fonua, Carlos and Taylor arriving over the Winter, we’re stuck with the lazy bunch we’ve got

| Though Danny houghtons after match interview spoke volumes to be honest , definitely sounded like dressing room problems and are unlikely to be resolved in the near future . I think most on here have sensibly given radford greif over the last few years , and Have understood he was a work in progress. Just think if he's lost the dressing room , his tenures up sooner rather than later , a couple more performances like that before the end of the season and Pearson will have no choice . I'd be dissaponted if radford didn't stick to his word and resigned before it came to that though
