Fetuli Talanoa and Setaimata Sa are both back in contention for this week's trip to France as Hull FC take on Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.

Both are available for selection after pulling out of last week’s win against Widnes Vikings despite being named in the original squad, whilst Steve Michaels keeps his spot after featuring as a late call-up against the Vikings.

Tom Lineham has not been included this week on personal grounds, but will be back in contention for next week’s game away against Leeds Rhinos, with the likes of Curtis Naughton and Josh Bowden.

Hull FC travel today and with a testing period of fixtures coming up, the club are taking no chances on several players and neither will be risked this week, with the Rhinos next week a likely return date for both players along with Dean Hadley who is in the final days of his recovery from a long term injury.

“We’ve had some tough decisions to make but that’s a nice position to be in,” Head coach Lee Radford told FC Live. “It’s great to be healthy and long may that continue.

“It’s important we stay that way and keep competition for places because when the fixtures do come thick and fast we will need to rely on a bit of rotation.”

I'm not sure whose decision it was for him not to go, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Radfords.

In a week where a lot has happened to TL, I think it's a sensible move by LR to leave him out, give him chance to take it all in. It's not like we don't have adequate cover thankfully.

Most of us will have accepted a new job in the past at some point in our lives and that would personally be seen as a 'better' and perhaps more well paid job, and that feeling can be quite euphoric and it can be hard to concentrate on the job in hand at first as you are looking forward.

In in a week or two Tom will have got used to the idea and be more likely to then make sure he finishes off his Hull career to the best of his ability.

According to some he signed some time ago, surley he has got used to the idea by now?? But as you say we do have cover but i would rather have Lineham over Michaels.

I'd be surprised if lineham has been left out because he's going to wire. Maybe something in his personal life?

What he doesn't need is people getting on his back just because he's not playing this weekend.

An away game in france would have been the perfect game for him to play in following the announcement. A good showing would give the idiots no reason to hassle him. Hopefully he'll be supported fully until the end of the season then we can vilify him from next season on
