| Ok so we reach the last starting position to be filled (there will be categories for the interchanges and coach still to come) and if you thought the hooker position was tough to select then try this one for size, probably the position that's going to spark the biggest debate - several outstanding candidates coming up here i'm sure.
Please put forward your candidates for the loose forward position

| Steve Norton is my favourite player in 37 years as a Hull supporter.
Can you possibly omit Johnny Whiteley from an all-time Hull XIII, though?

| Jon sharp was in this position when I first started following FC, I liked tony Grimaldi he was a top professional, Craig fitzgibbon was a world class player wish we had a player in the team like him now, but my favourite loose forward is jason smith he had everything he could change the tempo of the game, something only a handful of players can do. I never got to see the older players like knocker & them.

| Special mentions to Craig Fitzgibbon, John Sharp, Tony Grimaldi and the wonderful Jason Smith. The best I ever saw was Knocker Norton. But how can we miss out probably the BEST player to have every put on the famous irregular hoops. My granddad who began watching Hull in the early thirties, and is now sadly not with us, would not have listened to any argument about the other candidates[and he saw all the above play for Hull except Fitz]. That will do for me.

| KNOCKER
i know its a difficult with gentleman John in the frame, but when Knocker knocked them down they stayed down. I have yet to see a better 13 in the English game

| Whiteley.
Has anyone even come close to his achievements since? If it ends up as anyone else it'll make a mockery of this team.

| I never saw Mr Whiteley play (but he is legend )so on that basis it must be Norton. What an attacker. What a defender. I always think that really class players look like they have all the time in the world in the ball. Sometimes the game seemed to stop when knocker took a pass and when it started again he'd gone through the gap and was off down the field.
And on a Sunday evening after the games boy he could party with the fans. The man was magic. No contest for me.

| The truth is we've been blessed with some great 13's, many could command a place in any team and tbh I'd play many of them out of position just to accomodate their talent. I would choose Knocker as mine.
Steve 'Knocker' Norton
Johnny Whitely
Mick Crane
Jason Smith
Gary Divorty
Craig Fitzgibbon
John Sharp
Tony Grimaldi
all top class players.

Best I have seen by a light year is Johnny Whiteley from my post WW2 watching. Putting aside his enormous achievements at Hull he was a team member of the last Gt Britain team to win an' Ashes' series in England and was the coach of the last Gt Britain team to win a series in Aus.
I will be truly amazed if John is not the No.13.

| J,Whiteley for me then Mick Crane the true entertainer.
Only 2 players from Hull have had the rules changed because of there use of them B.Batten vaulting people .
Mick Crane with his winning the ball at the play the ball if he hooked it back or near the line kick through and score.
Clarke would have a field day with body language for him [lost by 50 before you start]
