RADFORD NAMES 19-MAN SQUAD FOR SAINTS

Hull FC head coach Lee Radford has named his 19-man squad for Friday’s First Utility Super League game against St Helens at the KC Stadium, kick off 8pm.

There is only one change from the team that beat Castleford Tigers 40-14 in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup last weekend.

Full-back Jamie Shaul returns for wing man Tom Lineham in the Black and Whites squad.

Radford’s men take on champions Saints looking to claim the Steve Prescott Cup and their seventh win in eight games.

No Wilkins for Saints, banned for 1 match

If that's the 19 then the 17 should be unchanged from the Cas game. I can't see Shaul getting back with Rankin in the form he is.

Despite missing Walsh and Wilkin, Saints stiil have a strong squad. No doubt Burns will have a good game and McDonnell will probably score.

Lineham has taken Shaul's seat on the naughty step.

Surely based purely on ability Lineham has to be in for Micheals.

If no injuries , then it has to be to same 17 as like week from that squad.

If lineham isn't injured it seems strange to drop our top scorer for a couple of defensive lapses down to positional play

He did the same thing with Ben Crooks - ignored the fact that he was our most dangerous attacking weapon, and focussed on some positional lapses!

Lineham and Naughton should be the wingers, no doubt about it

Difference is Lineham's prepared to suck it up and graft to get back in, Crooks wasn't

Or maybe lineham is leaving and he's not bothered for 1/2 a season?

While I think Naughton should definitely keep his place its a bit odd leaving out one of Super League's top try scorers this season, assuming he is fit.

Radford said in the Yorkshire Post that Lineham would have been omitted for the Cas game even if he was fit due to a couple of defensive lapses at Warrington that cost us tries.

Fair enough but isn't a winger supposed to be an attacking player whose main job is to score tries?

we must have the only coach who drops our match winners or players who get you back into games!

wouldnt blame them for bxxxxxing off! after all, it was radders best mate yeaman who stood ball watching right in front of us to allow wire back into the game as they never looked like scoring in that set!
