| What is happening wth the use of the KC pitch? Hull City trained at the KC on Friday last week and Monday of this week, after also playing two games on the pitch on Saturday - The Hull City under 21 side played Mansfield immediately after the Newcastle debacle on Saturday.
The "round ball lot" will no doubt soon be complaining about the poo rcondition of the pitch when the rugby season gets into swing!
This seems rather strange when the SMC are allegedly reluctant to approve the use of the Stadium for a RL Test match against New Zealand later in the year, or a 150 Centenary celebration game, FC v NZ.
Surely the reason for their reluctance cannot be for the over use of the pitch, or is there some other hidden agenda? Surely it cannot be to deny another sellout crowd for the Stadium?
Let's hope the FA stick to their guns (Decision due next week) and confirm their original decision to deny the proposed Hull City name change and Allam walks! After all he doesnt go back on his word! Good riddance!

| Nah, it's the rugby that damages it.

If it's true that Allam is blocking an England international at the KC then it is yet more evidence (not that we need any more!) that he talks utter crap. You can't complain on one hand that the SMC struggles to make money, and then turn down a fixture that has had a proven history of selling over 20k tickets and with it a lot of bar and hospitality sales.

Forgive my ignorance but he doesn't own the stadium so how can he dictate wether an international league match is played or not?

He owns the company that runs the stadium, the SMC decide what events they host. I imagine City and FC have some kind of contract that specifies they must be allowed to play at the ground a minimum number of times to cover our league and cup ties, or he'd have tried making us play games 'on the road' by now

| I'm hoping it's a big fat no from the FA, if the fans vote against it then they should tell him NO.

| If I've got this wrong please forgive my ignorance but, if Allam sells city won't he still retain control of the SMC?
This could spell trouble for both tenants.

| Yes, the SMC and Hull City are two different companies, it would be up to his son to sell the SMC.

But in reality they'd sell the SMC at the same time, even if run well the SMC won't ever be a huge money spinner and the ground it getting older and will need a big overhaul some point soon. Plus any new owner would want the extra control of owning the company that manages the stadium.

Oh yes, I don't doubt that for a second. It would be nice if the SMC could be run by an independent party to ensure that the bias is removed but that seems very unlikely.

Would you hold on to something that is losing money?. I think Allam will walk away completely.

He was right in the end: |
|
| Allam has just signed a 3 year deal to stage the UK Squash open at the KC
Probably on the pitch again
If we dont get a test or a club game against NZ then he really does need taking to task................
