Hit of the season for us i reckon - sad that some of the big hits are gradually being taken out of the game by various rule changes

I totally agree, but equally it wouldn't take many hits like that for one player to quickly have his career ended.

There was a few big hits on Friday. I think Gareth Ellis did one in their 25 (2nd half) which cut the attacking player in two and forced the ball to fly out of the Sts players hands setting us up for a great attacking opportunity.

I said coming out the ground that I would hate to be tackled by Ellis - he hits very hard

Ellis has been doing it all year you can hear the impact.

It was a shame the shoulder charge was taken out of the game , As long as you don't attack the head , I don't see a problem with it .

Was the lad recording it 'on the nest' at the time...... Disturbing background breathing

So now you can be penalised for a legitimate tackle??

Is that the same incident? No penalty given for the big hit as far as I remember

I wasn't sure either, but assumed the review was saying that a penalty could have been given.

Reading it again that's probably what it means. Not sure why still
