Hull FC have recalled hooker James Cunningham from his loan spell at the London Broncos as injury cover for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year old has been on loan in the capital since the start of the 2014 Super League season and has enjoyed a successful period in the capital appearing in every one the Broncos fixtures this season, apart from the two clashes with the Airlie Birds.

During his 17 appearances Cunningham has been a beacon of light for the Broncos, with two tries and four try assists whilst showing he is more than willing to put his head where it hurts in defence with over 300 tackles.

Another product of the Black and Whites youth academy, Cunningham is a capable player in a number of positions, and London have utilised his talent from hooker and versatility amongst the halves.

He offers Lee Radford’s side a welcome boost as they enter the final third of tough Super League season with a doubt over Aaron Heremaia after he limped off during Saturday's fixture against Salford.

To be honest I don't think diablo is that far wrong now there relegated there coach has said 23 players will be released as he wants to prepare for next season with the players that are signed so I think the last few games are going to be hammerings as a few more will go before the end of the season

To be fair none of the games have meant anything for cunningham anyway so early end of season makes no difference for him or us.

Yes, I was. Horne was fully fit for the Salford game and made no difference whatsoever. Heremaia is not a scrum half and never will be. Houghtons distribution is painfully slow, readable and needs working on.

I'd put Cunningham at 9, Houghton on the bench. Rankin and Abdull halves.

If Azza is going to be injured for a while then help Cunningham settle into the team in relatively pressure free circumstances i.e. when we won't get relegated and won't make the play-offs.

I'd play Cunningham instead of Azza now anyway.

From the interview Radford did last week it suggests that more kids may get a chance to play - HTW, Jansin Turgut and maybe a couple more
