| Since he returned they only managed 3 tries at home against probably the worst team ever to grace Superleague and very nearly got beat. Then they had a good result against a very young Wigan team. Hardly concrete evidence that he has turned them around.
Personally I think Smith is cack and if we signs him I wouldn't be happy.

| I wouldn't be happy to see us have Smith (not like we're linked with him anyway? As far as I know). I'd rather we persevered with Miller. Smith has a decent kicking game (not great) and a no-look pass, and even that doesn't fool anybody anymore.

| If Tim Smith is the answer, we're asking the wrong question

We've already got a half back like that.

| Smith was pretty anonymous in both our matches against Salford this season.
We need to be aiming higher than him.

| A decent scrum half would of won us another 3/4 games. If Longy had played in some of our games even as the taped up has been he was when he joined us. He would of seen us get at least 6 points by his game mangement alone.
We need to wait and get the right man not Tim Smith but Personally I would be going all out to get Dureau if their was a sniff of him wanting to come.

So it must be Webster that's done it.
Your analogy about London is also getting tiresome. They have come close to beating Hudds amongst others this season so I'm not sure as to your point. Secondly the pitch was waterlogged as the rain belted down through the whole game. If you can cast your mind back far enough to the winter game you will recall those games were always a lottery.
Personally I don't think we are the real deal yet with or without Amith so you have one of your better chances of beating us (something you fail to do far to often)/
As for Smith, he is a real enigma. On his day he's one of the best in SL and anyone who can't see that is a fool. Problem is they are so few and far between that you get far to much of the brain explosion Smith for comfort and thats at Wakey who definitely get the best out of him. If you had a coach who could eek out the real Tim Smith he's make you a great team but I can understand why any club wouldn't want to take the risk.
Best left as an enigma player at an enigma club so to speak.

| In other words, in a poor team, Smith looks good.
Incidentally, "coming close" is still not winning, and gets you the same points as an utter hammering.

I've only mentioned London twice iirc and I mentioned them because you scored less points than anyone else against them. Since this thread was about how your new half back has turned you around I thought it was relevant. I don't know how bad the weather was so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there.
Tim Smith is indeed a very good player on his day. It's a shame his day comes around about as often as Halley's Comet.
As for us not beating you very often. Well there are a few occasions over the last few years where I can remember you turning us over, but I've never thought of you as a bogey team. A quick check of the stats says that in Superleague we've won 28 and you've won 10. That's probably about what you would expect. Afaik that doesn't include 3 challenge cup victories either.

| wakey fans are always the same. They get the odd win and suddenly they're challengers. vastman is the biggest idiot of the lot and spouts more cr4p than all of our rovers trolls put together. Of course he'll be back later to refute that but you only have to read back through his posting history to see I'm right
