| Key quote here and one I like.
"Danny and James can develop a strong partnership in that role from next season, which means we can utilise a good amount of salary cap to secure the additions of some big signings we're looking to get completed for 2015.

| Heremaia has been a fine player for us after a delayed start due to injury.
Disappointed to see him go, but the old adage says it's better to release a player a year too early than a year too late. Time will tell if this is a good decision or not.

People werent happy about Manu, including me, people need to see the bigger picture. Heremia will be one of our top earners and plays only half a game, Cunningham will be on 3rd of his money, much better to bring in a top halfback with his money.

| This is a very recent decision because it was said only two weeks ago that he would get another year because of how good he was both on the field and off it with the lads. I detect a change of emphasis at the club who are abandoning lots of cheap and cheerful signings that I think were planned for three or four top ones. I can see other departures too. Incidentally Heramaia was by means of his signing by Agar on a good screw! Not sure its a good idea but I did hint that it might be the case in the Diary last week, we can only really assess it when we see who is coming in.

| Gutted to see Azza leave he's been a great signing for us. But as long as we can bring in a top class back on his money then I'll be happy.

| Been a good player for us and I've enjoyed watching him play for us. Into his thirties and a young lad on the books already playing SL. If his (probably fair) wedge goes to other areas that badly need strengthening then it's hard to argue with that policy. Good signing for Widnes.

| He's probably chuffed to be going to a more upwardly mobile club.

If Cunningham steps up then it's win win, but I havn't seen enough from him to suggest he is good enough yet. Hooker is such an important position, arguably just as important as the halves. Cutting corners there to buy another scrum half would be something of robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Whilst I think Azza has been good for us I wouldn't say that he has been fantastically consistent week in week out. Maybe a young hungry player will be an improvement. Cunningham has done OK in a poor team from what I've seen.

| Good luck to Azza at Widnes been a good player for us. Like has been said though this will free up quite a bit of salary & we already have his replacement on the books. Good thing for Azza is he should be main hooker for Widnes, after Clarke who's 35 who else do they have?

| Correct decision IMO, he's been a decent player for us...but is another player in the 'decent but not spectacular' category that we have too many of in the squad, this will free up salary cap space to strengthen areas that need investment like the halves.

I genuinely don't think they are, he has another two seasons and AP doesn't want to pay off again, otherwise why is MCDonnel still here?
we're a joke club again
