| Just having a chat at work about how it seems Hudds have progressed further than FC since gaining promotion to SL, although they attract probably 50% less support than we do. When we were promoted to SL, I seem to remember that it was a fight between FC & Hudds for promotion and we won promotion by finishing 1st, in the then 1st division...( IIRC Giants finished 2nd. but then were promoted anyway) . So, where are we going wrong?.. In the past 2 seasons or so, they have been there or thereabouts and have just won the SLLLS and have a real chance of progressing in the playoffs. OK, they haven`t won anything of great significance, but they seem to be in a steady incline, where as FC don`t seem to have progressed very far since 2006.

last season we dumped them out of the play offs easily
this season they have had the same squad turn out week on week, stability on the pitch works wonders
also got to credit Anderson for beefing up their pack too, ours went backwards after losing moa and manu

| Huddersfield's rise has indeed been remarkable but unless they get some serious bankrolling from somewhere I just dont see how it is sustainable with the attendances and lack of merchandise sales that comes with a small fan base.

| Since we both got promoted, they have been relegated and promoted again. They have been to a challenge cup final which they lost, and have now won a LLS.
We have been to 3 CC finals, winning one, and also a GF, our best finish is 2nd. We also have never been bottom at the end of any weekly round since we have been in this league.
Our head to head is 24-13 and they have only finished higher than us in 3 seasons.
Take nothing away from Hudds, what they have done this year is excellent, but one season doesn't mean they have progressed further. They are ahead of us at this moment in time, but they better get busy if they want to match what we have done since 98.
If we win tomorrow I think we will play Hudds in week two because I can see them losing to Wigan. If we beat them, then has their season really been any better than ours?

Not having the cash resources of Ken Davey. They have negative net worth of £10m, reflecting sustained and, in RL terms, massive investment. This time last year we put them out of the play-offs.

They've been to two CCFs (2006 & 2009).
Our trophy records stand at 1-1. They have the LLS. We have the CC.

| To be fair it's taken Davey the best part of 15 years to get them where they are now. We were never going to be a force under Hetherington, because it wasn't in the family interest to make us a force, so if we take Pearson as our Davey we're two years in. If we follow exactly the same path as Huddersfield under Davey we've several last place finishes and a relegation to come yet.

| I am as fed up as the next guy, but to compare us to Huddersfield over SL is ridiculous, the only reason Davy has to put up so much money is not even the giants fans believe in him enough to go support their team in large numbers.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

So much wrong with that post its unreal. How do you class progress?.....we havent been relegated. We have 3 C/Cup finals, they have 2..we won 1...they 0...only 3 times they have finished above us,1 GF to us and our crowds have gone up considerably since we have been in S/L and the move to KC...they was already in the Galpharm when they came up.As for this season...they have been consistent, whilst the others have been not so consistent and it helps when they have 1,6,7,9 and 13 playing regular.

Exactly.
Incidently, watching the genuine pleasure on Davy and his wife's faces as Hudds won the league this year after 15 years of his patronage I mentally raised my hat to him. What with his saving of Huddersfield Town also he demonstrates true altruism. Certain others who have insisted they have donned the cloak of philanthropism despite all subsequent evidence to the contrary may wish to observe and learn. Or they may not.

| They started like a house on fire but there are definite signs of choking again. Brough scored a good try but has been very poor otherwise. Mind you both sides are making a huge number of errors.
I'm hoping for a Wigan win. If we win tomorrow I would much rather go to Hudds than Wire/Leeds.

| Giants should of been further ahead than they were after 15 mins Wigan hung on in there I fancy them to get the result. Some thing really needs to be done about this ball this is the league leaders and challenge cup winers and ball retention is like 2 park teams.
