| We need to strengthen next year and make sure we have 2 quality half backs. If we don't I question both Gentle's and Pearson's ambitions for the club. We have had the same half back situation for far to long now and it needs sorting out!
Today we was mediocre and Tickle, Holdsworth, Miller, Westerman did't turn up. It cost us the game FACT.
Another thing was crooks shouldn't have played today, he was well off it. We was simply clueless in attack.
You can go on all day and talk about how good our defensive performance was, we shouldn't have to defend if we would have just looked after the ball and completed a fr1gging set!
Load of balls, season over.
Worse cup final I have even seen.
Rant over.

| No invention, Miller aside.
Don't look like scoring, unless its from a broken play.
Really poor.

| Has Daniel Holdsworth ever had a good game? Serious question, everyone seems to think he's some kind of star player but I can't remember a single occasion where I've been impressed by him, AFAIK he wasn't even a stand-out at Salford.

You had to do alot of defending, but the defence wasn't especially good, in the sense that Wigan had no real appetite to stretch you, they were pretty one dimensional and simply forced repeat sets, but also made their fair share of errors in attacking positions.
It actually leaves a sour taste in the mouth that a team has won a major final without needing to play any better than poor.

| I was surprised when Richard Horne was at least not on the bench !!
Quality player for me and better than both half backs you played he to me was worth the risk not Crooks.

| The decision to play Crooks looks like an awful error in judgement, with the benefit of hindsight.

| Said leading up to the game you had to play Horne. Whereabouts though, I'm not sure as Shaul was Hull's best player. With hindsight it should've been Horne in for Miller who was ineffective bordering on terrible.

| Tbh i wouldn't go to far as to blame the half backs.
End of the day, the whole team played badly. To many dropped balls and we just couldn't seem to get a set together never mind a set play.
Holdsworth is a decent player, as is Miller.
But today it just wasn't our day. Well done to Wigan.

Which one?? Our right hand side was horrendous today!!
Holdsworth had a nightmare and has definitely had more bad games than good, non existent today!! Talking all week about how much he's dreamt of this final and might aswell have not turned up (if he actually did)

| I think Rangi Chase was the sort of player we needed. Shame it didn't happen.
Need a real game breaker.

| Miller's wonderfully floated pass to the touch judge was a joy to behold. If Yeamen had been on Richards shoulder it would have still gone over his head.

| In as unsmug a way as I can possibly manage today, has Miller shown much in any game yet?
I've only seen him against Cas, Wakefield (I think), Bradford, Wire and today but have yet to see him produce anything like a top half back.
Has he taken a game and stamped his authority on it yet?
