Is anybody on here a member at Fit24 gym in St Stephens and know what's going on there at the minute?
It's been closed for a couple of weeks and a sign on the door says it was opening today at 12, when normal service would resume. I went at about 12:30 and it was still closed. There was a small crowd outside and a member of the St Stephens team who just said they're looking to get it back open as soon as possible.

The door sign says it's under new management however I've heard from a few people today that the gym is actually closing down. I've checked the Fit24 Facebook and nobody on there has a clue whatis happening, and nobody from the actual gym has posted anything.

Just thought I'd check on here to see if there are any members who might have heard some news.

well i'll find out shortly if its open or not when I go.

It re-opened last night and is under new management but I for one wont be renewing my membership as ive heard the prices will be rising very soon.

Xercise4Less opens at the end of this month. Cheapest prices I've ever seen for a gym.

But to get those cheap prices you have to sign on a 3 year contract.

Wasn't for me? Ive done 15months for 100, already paid- works out 6.60pm. That offer isn't on now though, although because I'm one of the first if I renew I only pay that again. So after 30 months I'd have only paid 200!!!!! The other offer was 20 up front and 9.99 a month think that's finished too now though. Full price is only about 15ish though i think. Massive amount of weights and equipment, huge place!!!

Yup that's what I've got. £100 for 15 months. Easily the best deal going. With it being right next to FitnessFirst (who put up my contract from £24pm to £31pm mid contract), I can see them having problems.

Can see most gyms this side of town struggling with this. I paid 4me n the girlfriend last year at dw. Would be 700for us both for 14 months if I paid up front. Done both for 200 for 15! Something for everyone as well. Dumbbells go up to 75kg with 2 of every size. Most the hardcore body building gyms don't have that plus 100s of rowers bikes n treadmills they will probably put a few gyms out of business.!

Gonna stick with fit24 for time being as 24hr use was main reason I joined due to hours I work

Fit24 opened a new gym in Wakey city centre across road from where I work about 6 months ago, I said it wouldn't last 12 months when it opened because of all the cheaper competition around Wakey. Two or three weeks before Xmas it closed with a notice on the door saying it would open again asap and a further notice would follow, it still hasn't opened and there has been no more info posted. We assumed they had gone bust.
They spent a fortune on equipment, took peoples brass for signing on and closed within 4 months of opening.

Dumbbells go up to 75kg. Must be for them rough tough east hull birds.!!!
