I'm still completely in shock about it all, we have been told so much about how the intention is to mix the best youngsters with quality experienced players. This over the hill 'never has-been' doesn't fit in to either bracket.
the landlords of the city will be delighted though.

Very disappointed by this. He's not the greatest player, but he's a ing ass too. He's one of the player's that I hate the most.
BUT I still trust in Gentle, and I was very under whelmed by Aspinwall signing, who I think has turned into one of our better signings so we'll wait and see.

Wouldn't like to see him in the halves judging by that game last week v Widnes but what you are getting is a very experienced utility player who has performed well in a poor Castleford team for many years who still has a point to prove,
They can't all be marquees and I'm sure he will suprise many of his already mass doubters before the end of the year.

Can't believe this is one of the "six" signings that were in the bag for next season.
Could be that we were between a rock and a hard place, with Moa gone and Ticks out for 12 weeks we desperately need cover for this season putting McGoldrick in a strong position to negotiate himself an extra year.
Looks like he is now a Black & White so has my full support while wearing the shirt.

Something Gentle said he was against when he signed for us.
Underwhelmed by the signing but Gentle obviously see's something in him that I don't. Guess we will just have to hope he proves most of us wrong. |

We've got a "very experienced utility player" already. And I'm pretty sure there are better ones available if we really do need another. |
