| Officially this game is still at Craven Park. Rumours persist of a switch, although Hudgell has said this won't happen. Pearson has said that in the event of any switch, it would be to FC's financial advantage, I think? Anyone heard what might or might not be happening?
Would be an interesting one to understand the financials on if it were to move. As the "home" team, Rovers will have already banked most of their receipts for this last September through season pass income, unless they want to charge their passholders a supplement for improved facilities. Presumably they'll have to rent the stadium including stewarding and ticketing/admin charges, honour car park passes, provide complementary coaches from Craven Park. Financially, then, it's success would come down to the "away" attendance. A lot of Hull fans think the differential pricing for away supporters is a bit dodgy. Should Hudgell reduce prices to incentivise the fixture, therefore?
Quite a few Rovers fans don't support the idea, to the extent of suggesting boycotting the KC and having a simultaneous event in the bar at Craven Park, watching it on Sky with a hot pie.
Anyone know what the latest is?

| imo if Rover's can't put on a home game, they shouldn't be allowed to make the other stadium their 'home' for the day.

They can put on a home game, they will be doing for 12 others this season. At the end of the day, if its at Craven Park it's Hull fans who'll miss out, since there are only so many tickets to go around so he'll keep the distribution to FC at a minimum.

For "quite a few", see one.
And a daft one at that.

| Hull and Rovers are currently seeing falling crowds and presumably revenue at a time when they are both pumping money into the infrastructures of both clubs. New Stands, training facilities etc. The figures are not stacking up either side of the City.
If Mssrs Hudgell, Pearson and Allam can come up with a situation on July 23rd that financially benefits both clubs then it would take a pretty petty fan not to back it.

| A friend asked Hudge last week what were his reasons behind changing the fixtures around, surely the stand wont be anywhere near built by the July. His answer was he hoped to have at least 500 temporary seats/ standing area in place by July. So there's his plan.
Personally I think when you take into account the the stay away Rovers fans (because it's at the KC), the 15k hire of the stadium (I think), the % Hull are going to want, the Hull fans who don't want to give their cash to Rovers/ its on sky anyway so they wont go. I think its going to be more hassle than its worth for Rovers. Monday night, on Sky. I recon 15k tops!

Cheers, sort of makes sense. Still not sure that switching it would give Rovers much incremental over playing it at CP though.

St Helens played a full seasons fixtures from Widnes, Why should Rovers be treat differently? If we have no extra capacity when the derby fixture comes around then it's the Hull fans who do attend Craven Park that will be the ones that miss out. The fair solution would be to hold the match at the KC so as many fans from Hull can watch the game.
Regards the financial side of the deal if a company rented the KC for a concert Hull wouldn't be entitled to any money would they. With that in mind I'm not so sure why we should need to give Hull a sweetner to let this match take place. Surely we'd have to pay the SMC for the stadium hire though with Hull being happy that their team is being cheered on by as many fans as possible..

Hull have to agree to the move.
If you moved the game to Spain, USA, Dubai, London etc. Hull would still need to agree it.
So a cash payment to FC's charity of the year may well sway it, its not like we [ineed[/i the cash, we live within our means.

Where not moving it out of Hull so can't see why Hull should have an issue with the venue change. They are certainly more used to the venue and it wouldn't be as hostile as Craven Park.
Maybe a donation to Hulls choosen charity would be a sensible option to offer to Hull.
