10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

| Very impressed with young Danny today. I thought he went about his business quietly but efficiently and was pretty effective in getting us around the park.
Most importantly though, he looked comfortable playing at that level and seemed to enjoy it. His performance today has proven to me that we finally have a little depth in the halves, something we haven't had for years.

| I disagree, I thought he looked out of his depth the first half, and Wire scored twice running right through him....However he looked more comfortable in the last 20 minutes, considering it was his debut and the weather conditions well done to the kid, and it is nice we finally have a coach who is willing to blood youngsters.

| For me the fact that we have a young player trained and ready to slot in in the halves knowing the calls and structures is, in itself, miles ahead of last year. Good effort by Nicklas today.

Don't think he looked out of his depth at all. Yes he was targeted defensively just like any smallish HB would be but his defence will improve. Apart from a nervy couple of early passes he looked comfortable with ball in hand to me.

| Think he went ok. Nothing special but wasn't poor. He was at fault for Waterhouse breaking the line twice. Would have liked him to use the options or take the ball to line instead of a inside ball all the time though but that will come with time in SL obviosuly.

Bit harsh imo, especially trying to pin two tries on him after two of the most bonehead plays (knocking on on our own line and Westerman knock on) we will see all season that gifted wire possession.
Of the two scrum halves on display today, I thought Nicklas had a better all round game than Myler.

I thought he had a couple of dodgy moments in the 1st half defensively but thought none of them on the right side looked comfortable 1st half, Sharp, Martin & Westerman too. I thought 2nd half he was a lot better and this game will have given him a load of confidence for the rest of the season.
It's a massive step up for these young kids especially in the position he plays so well done to him.

| Thought Nicko had a real solid game. Had some nice touches and chased the kicks well, looked nervous at times but understandable. Like has been said, the fact that we played him in our first game of the season is a plus in itself. A welcomed change from Washbrook/Lee/Hall/A.N.Other makeshift half back.

| Thought he was comfortably our worst player today but nothing to be worried about, there'll be easier chances for him to impress in the future.

The fact is Wire ran right through him to score twice, not harsh just fact! Errors were displayed by a good few players today which is understandable due to the conditions etc...
I am not having a go at Nicklas I am giving my opinion which I do not consider detrimental to him, he started and was not fully confident, made a couple of errors then looked comfortable in the last 20 mins...Hopefully he will gain in confidence and improve various aspects of his game the more time he gets playing at this level, and like I said in my original post, well done to the kid.

Wow. Interesting to see you haven't expressed who was comfortably our best player.

| Did what would be expected of him and as the OP says didn't look out of his depth. Promising.

Think that's a fairer assessment. Out of his depth is overly harsh, he did have a shaky start and grew into the game, but still had a few misses in defence.

| If anybody should be getting blamed today it should be Westerman who was pathetic all game and not this young lad.
