Just looking to book a hotel for the weekend has anyone else already booked? any advice on a good base or ideas welcome. Think it should be a cracking weekend all round. Do we play the Sat or Sun ?

Depends where the trips are staying. Plenty of cheap B&B's within range to make a cheap weekend of it.

Don't know what day we play yet but I do know that the stadium is based on the East of side of Manchester and there are plenty of hotels dotted around the area, we chose Salford quays holiday inn on the West side due to its close proximity to the Manchester nightlife, it's about 4 miles away (taxiable) from the stadium but we've got free parking and we paid £90 inc breakfast.

We're staying in Salford Quays too for the same reason - close to the city centre, at the Etap. Can't wait, should be a good weekend. |

We're not going to the Magic Weekend but will be at Etihad in June for a concert and we are staying at TraveLodge Sports City just down the road.

yea the salford quays and sports village are both sold out now i think, but have got sorted in a nice 4* in manchester centre
for £250 two nights for 4 of us.
