| Im hoping that now mcrae is our director of rugby he wont be in the commentary box every week. I know he wasnt in it as much when coaching and as good as i think he is on sky, i would hope he'd concentrate on hull and very rarely appear on sky. We had enough of that with kear IMO

Don't see the problem, personally. It's a couple of hours a week at most.
It's not as if he's got match preparation to do.

Well if its a game in london or france its at least a day away and i would just hope hed have more important things to do. Remember when we got stuffed one night and when kear should have been getting players in for a bollocking next day, he was on telly. I just dint want a repeat of those kinds of situations

| Well ok not that actual specific situation. I just dont want his sky commitments, if he has any, to interfere with his DOR duties thats all

| I would have have thought all expenses paid scouting trips and the chance to make friendly approaches to opposition players aren't such a bad thing at all.

| I'm with Chet. U Bet on this. Don't think that the best use of our DOR's time is in the Sky Sports Studio on a Friday & Saturday when our home games are now on a Sunday (yes I know he is not the coach and not picking the team or deciding the tactics, but he has a wealth of RL experience that PG (an un-proven head coach) might just want to tap into now and again). If we are playing on a Friday (home or away) then no problem with a Saturday appearance on Sky.
As for scouting missions I would hope that our squad is in place well before the 2012 season kicks off and in any case he will have ample time to do that during his 9 - 5 hours during the week or via video ( as hopefully we may be looking at the odd overseas recruit for 2013).
Rant finished (open brackets) (close brackets)

| I don't have an issue with him being on SKY. Very few of Cats & Harlequin's home games are shown, therefore most of his trips will be along the M62 ofr Friday and Sautrday evening kick offs.
As previously said, it will be for Peter Gentle to speak to the players and in theory thsi will normally be in the morning or early afternoon. So in the event of us getting betaen heavily on a Friday night and the players being hauled in on the rest day (Sat). It will be Gentle doing the talking and this will be over before McRae need to travel to his SKY match.
I agree with the point that being at the SKY games allows Shaun to watch other clubs directly and also sound out about future transfer targets.
Rather listen to Shaun's sensible match analysis as opposed to Paul Cullen's moronic rubbish.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |
|
| No problem with Bomber doing sky at all. Most games are outside of working hours so to speak anyway!

Doubt it. I bet Stevo's already announced Kevin Sinfield as his Man of the Match for Sunday.
