ONE CHANGE FOR CUP CLASH

Hull FC have made just one change for Sunday’s all important Carnegie Challenge Cup Quarter-Final tie against Leeds Rhinos.

The second time in a week that the Black and Whites have faced the West Yorkshire club and they’ve been forced into one change for the match with captain Craig Fitzgibbon suffering a recurrence of a calf injury.

That means young paceman Reece Lyne returns to the senior squad, fresh on the back of a four try blitz against the Rhinos U20’s side last weekend.

Other than that, head coach Richard Agar has a full strength squad to choose from, with just 160 minutes standing in the way of them reaching the showpiece Wembley final.

Squad v Leeds: T Briscoe, Dowes, Horne, Houghton, Lauaki, Lyne, Manu, Moa, Obst, O’Meley, Phelps, Radford, Sharp, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Westerman, Whiting, Yeaman.

Leeds Rhinos will welcome back Kylie Lueluai and Brent Webb for this Sunday's massive Carnegie Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Hull FC at the KC Stadium.

Share Both players missed last Friday's 20-0 victory over the same opponents at Headingley Carnegie through injury whilst Paul McShane and Lee Smith, who did not feature last week drop out of the 19 man squad for the trip to the KC Stadium.
Rhinos skipper Kevin Sinfield is on the brink of becoming the greatest goal kicker in the club's history and overtaking the legendary Lewis Jones. Jones kicked 1,244 (including drop goals) between 1952 and 1964.
Sinfield's total currently stands at 1,242 (including drop goals).

Sunday's televised game will be the sixth (and third in the Quarter Finals) Challenge Cup meeting between the sides since 2000 - Hull's only win in that period came in the 2005 Final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Sunday's game is a repeat of last season's Round Four clash which Leeds won 48-24. That fixture was the week after a 46-30 Rhinos victory at Headingley Carnegie, just as 2011's Quarter Final comes the week after Leeds's 20-0 home win over the Black & Whites last Friday.

On a serious note, heard Phelps will be dropped with Whiting to FB and Lynne to the wing.

f'k me, Lynne in and Phelps out, glad I haven't wasted my cash, I thought we might have a chance tomorrow but not anymore.

Hubby is ranting he said if they play Lyne that is fecking it ect ...or words to that effect. The kid is not ready and should be shipped out to a championship side as he is clearly too good for U20s but not quite ready for SL.....
If Phelps is dropped I would sooner go with Sharp as he has more big game experience, though I would sooner have Phelps in.
