There's a fine line between acts of drunken stupidity and all out thuggery, we could all name plenty of players in SL who have got away with violence from both the courts and the RL judiciary. I'd like to think he'll get a bit of good humoured banter from opposing fans over the next few seasons, but at the end of the day it was just a drink induced incident which is being blown out of all proportions, there are far worse behaved players out there.

The thing is if he has been banned in the NRL why should we take him, had he not being banned he would not even consider coming to SL, well not until he wanted his pension any-way!! Why should we take the bad boys, we are just a soft touch in SL imo. Plus I was disgusted by his actions this maybe because I am a female I don't know, I am generally broad minded, but a bit too far for me from a sportsman in the public eye.

I believe players in SL should have also been banned, two players who spring to mind and should have been banned imo are Cock 'ead and Raynor, I know their are others and the same rule should have applied.

Food for thought is if Joel had done that in this country he would have broken the law.
