2) Losing both half backs isn't a ready made excuse for capitulation

| I agree completely with Jake's point 2, and to some extent with point one. It must be said that both Smith and Maguire took over significantly better squads than Agar, but you cannot argue with how they have forged a unity of purpose and team work ethic in a short space of time. Something our friend from West yorkshire has failed to do.

the first point to build on is to actually play the ball quickly and pass properly...that is how low and basic our problems start.
Hull give the opposition defence an easy time by laying down and having a minute long nap on the floor, before standing up, looking over both shoulders (as rarely anyone bothers to make a run or look remotely interested in receiving the ball) before making a belated scoot with the ball.
the passing is equally as slow and easy for the opposition to guess.
that's before we get on to the issue of the half-backs, coach without a tactical gameplan, weak backs...

our squad is improving, and also without being able to pay the six figure fees wire have been able to do!!if it's true we made an offer for myler, then the board obviously intend to spend, but wire have a multi-millionaire benefactor for a start.i don't see benefactors eager to buy hull fc!! and if it wasn't for the board, perhaps there wouldn't be a ''hull fc'' to support.the board have indicated that the club now carries no debt, whatsoever,so this is good.one day sky will pull out of rugby league, and most clubs, who are already in the red, will financially struggle(some are now!),but hull fc will(hopefully) be ok.it doesn't matter who the coach is if a player says he doesn't want to sign for hull (myler) then we move on to the next target-end of.no point harping on about other teams!! maybe we aren't as big a club as some would like to think? apart from thee 05' cup, what have we won over the last 15/20 years?

so why then in 12-18 months since Myler allegedly turned us down haven't we offered to pay a transfer fee for another half-back?
Warrington spent around 200K getting Myler, most clubs in SL would snap our hand off for that kind of transfer fee, as would some NRL clubs.

Although watching Wigan flinging the ball around with accuracy did fill me with a little twitch of envy.

Both their squads were a lot better than ours.

Saints have far superior cover.
Good effort Jake, must try harder though.

I've not tried to disguise anything, just dispelling a couple of myths the club has tried to build up in the last couple of years.
