I know the club were far from blameless with the Cooke situation, but that was somewhat out of there hands, but after that we should have thrown every single penny we had at Dobson and given him whatever he wanted, not signing him when we had the chance was by far our biggest regret since the merger, anyone who says Long is the better player now is simple.

Losing Cooke was the biggest blunder by a country mile. If he would have stayed I reckon we'd have made the Grand final again in 2007.

No he didn't. He said they didn't think he was worth what he was asking. But that wasn't the reason we didn't sign him - the deal breaker was the timing. |
