| Yep give Long a go, he could be just what this club needs.
I've loved reading the pre season hype, im actually buzzing about saturday and the season, we might not pull it off this year, but with Long about, and his "minders" which i think he'll need! we will be blooming close!

I was willing to give him a chance but still not convinced he will be the man for the job. He has a decent squad now but I still don't think he has the balls to make tough decisions when it comes to player selection. I still think the likes of Hall, Washbrook and Moa will end up being left out for his 'favourites'.

Totally agree !! Everyone of us wants to see us at the top and, dare I say it, most of all with RA in charge because he seems to be a very genuine, honest and likeable guy. However, there are going to be some very difficult decisions for him this season which will have a massive bearing on how we perform on the pitch and I don't think that he has the ability/b0ll0cks to "get them right".
I can see the likes of Moa, Washbrook, Hall and even Calderwood being consistently left out while he tries to "fit in" his favourites like Radford, Cusack, Dowes, Horne, Yeaman etc.. regardless of performances.

Might be nice to at least see the first team he picks of the season before judging. Last year he didn't have these options.

| You cannot judge him yet. He will pick what he thinks is his best 13/17 for the opener and i expect he will stick with that for a few games at least. After that when/if certain players are not performing as they should that is when we will see if he is up to the job.
As for Long he may well make a good coach but it is too early in the day to be looking at that scenario.

| love people's optimism in our coach! not even a competative fixture played this season and were already banging on about replacments. we all know its do or die time for him. the board have backed him up this year, something i think they've been reluctant to do seasons of late. we got rid of the "dead wood" and aquired far better players, and the assistent coach to go with it. Agar does have his flaws as any coach does but i think its this year when we will see what he's really like as a super league coach.

| I'm giving Agar the same backing as i have done from day one, i think he can take Hull to the level we all want to see the club at. I had a few questions last year with some of his interchanges and things and obviously got frustrated at times. On the whole though my attitude toward him and what he can bring remains the same. I honestly believe that he can be good for the club and take us back to the top and back in the mix for trophies. He's cleared out the bad eggs and under-acheivers he's brought in players of great stature and professionalism, players that are totally dedicated to the cause rather than the life rugby league brings. Looking through this years squad it's hard to spot any weaknesses in the squad as a whole, the depth of quality, strength and ability is there for all to see. I think the good times are coming back and it's gonna happen with Agar at the helm.
