With immediate effect? What about Horne's racing night there?

Just checked and this is on Richard's Testimonial site

[iThe Richard Horne Testimonial Committee has just been informed that Hull Greyhounds, operating at Boulevard Stadium, is closing down with immediate effect.

Accordingly, the Company will not be staging Horney's Night at the Dogs event on the evening of Saturday 18th July.

The event was approaching a sell-out and contact will be made in the coming days with those fans who have booked places regarding a refund or switch to other Horney events.

The Committee apologise for any inconvenience for the cancellation of this event, which is obviously outside of their control due to the demise of Hull Greyhounds.[/i

Flatten it, use the diverted HRA monies to build much needed housing, was never viable to keep it in the first place.

Unfortunate truth Ian, unless FC can build their training facility there or something. I will be sad to see it finally go, but I fear it is inevitable.

The new training facility is on the Uni campus site and it will go forward, It is in what is now a run down area and its demolition could be the the start of a new begining for the whole area.

Then best stand a couple of years ago, clearly starting to go into ruin

Very sad day when it goes. Always enjoyed trips to the Boulevard even though we generally lost. A cracking hostile atmosphere and always good close games.
