| OK, a win's a win, but that was rubbish again tonight IMO. salford are the 2nd worst team in SL, with a paper thin squad and a number of injuries keeping players out tonight. And what do we do? Scrape a win courtesy of a couple of tickle penalties and a dubious disallowed try. I can't see any positives other than the 2 points and can only see us beating celts between now and the end of the season.
At times we looked clueless and for me the overall performance was no better than the last 3. Only managing to score 2 tries against the 2nd worst defence in the league says it all

| as I have said in another thread we have only beaten two teams (Castleford and Huddersfield) who currently sit in the top8
the only positive was an improved effort by some of the players, but to be honest they should be giving 100% every week, and it should not take this kind of pressure to get a performance from them.
the rest was the same old story, clueless near the line
just how bad Thorman has to get before he's dropped I don't know, i'd rather see Sam Moa at no7

| I agree mate.
If that was against any other team (apart from maybe Celtic) we would of got beat by 20-30 points.
Only players for me that played good were Raynor and Yeaman.

absolute crap, i actually think getting the win does us more harm than good as it will paper over the chasms for another week and allow mr rule to tell us it was a battling win over a tough salford side or some such bollox! i think our expectations have slipped that low that we see tonights game as a positive??

| I agree, we were awful and would have struggled against anyone apart from Salford and Celtic on that showing.
However, we did get plenty of field position and I thought our backs looked OK. Our inability to get a quick PTB for me just negates any positives. We know we're very limited in creating opportunities, but if we could just gain some speed and momentum from the PTB, this in itself would at least create some doubt in the mind of the defence. We were standing much deeper in the first half as well, which is a good thing (although Agar complained about this in the post match interview ); next step now we've established where to stand is maybe to practice someone running onto the ball.

We were virtually camped in there 20 for 60 minutes! The pack did great tonight against a big team and once again our pivotal players couldn't create to put the points on the board our forwards deserved. Sean long would of had a field day out there tonight.

7 out of their attacking line were in front of the kicker, so was hardly dubious
Why are we expecting to go from garbage last week to world class this week?? it would never happen - id take a win and an improvement in confidence goin into next weeks game
