| I can totally understand the loss of faith in Richard Agar but is he and his gameplan actually to blame here. We've had a string of losses lately but only 2 of those have been by a wide margin.
Cas - 1 point. Were winning. Absurd amount of handling errors. Tickle missed 3 kicks
Salford - 4 points. Robbed by a blatantly forward pass with a couple of minutes to go that even the touch judge called. If the ref's on his game we'd still be in the Cup
Rovers - 4 Points. Great comeback. Could have won it at the end. Tickle only 1/3 from the boot. 15 handling errors.
Wakey - 7 points (but closer in reality than the scoreline suggests) Brough PUNTS a drop goal, which I believe shouldn't have been allowed; many handling errors. Twice with big overlaps that Hall fails to utilise when an outside pass is nigh on guaranteed a try. Twice we have wingers waiting to walk in for a try but give them a forward pass.
It strikes me that the games could all have been won but for individual errors. We scored more tries than Cas for Christ's sake but Tickle's boot let us down (although he can be forgiven for the occasional off day) Hall has given tries away against both Cas and Wakey with indecision from opposition kicks on the last tackle. He's also bombed tries either through knock ons.
Can Agar be held responsible for Hall's errors? Can Agar be blamed for Graeme Horne forwarding passing to Calderwood in front of the West Stand 5 metres from the line? Is it Agar's fault that players aren't watching for passes and the ball goes sailing past them?
I didn't think we played that badly last night. Wakey were just smarter in absorbing the pressure and fair play to them.
Just think that another sideways move and change of coach won't change a lot. Unless it was a genuine recognisable upgrade from what we've already got in Agar then I think we'd be better off sticking with him for now and focussing on cutting out errors rather than having the 4th different man in charge in the space of three years

| Surely the game plan rests with the coaching staff and to be honest I can't see that we've got one. We play a boring 5 drives and a kick game with an inside ball to Tickle the only variation. Yes, Agar doesn't do the forward passes etc. but the team are being sent out there with no guidance or plan, confusion will set in and errors will therefore be made. So actually the errors in part can be blamed on the coaches.

| I hear what you're saying, but is the gameplan drastically different from when we won 5 straight?
Strikes me that it's individual errors that are costing us at the moment.
I agree with gameplan can lead to errors in terms of players positioning on the park but surely even the best gameplan would fail with umpteen knock ons in teh opposition's half.

Although Agar can't be blamed for all that's wrong at the club, he must take responsibility for this one. If Hall wants to be anything like a good player he needs to grow some nads, and put his body on the line. How Agar can persist with playing him at FB is beyond me, give Whiting a go, at least he has bottle.

10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

| Our tactics are dire and are the same week in week out. The vast majority of the team don't put in anything like the required amount of effort or commitment, yet continue to find a place in the team each week.
I am in no doubt that the blame for the recent run of poor results and performances lies with Mr Agar and his coaching team.

We get a repeat set then lose the ball early, have a good kick n chase, pin them back then give a penalty away or force an error in the oppos half then lose the ball. Most of the games we have lost, even if we are playing dire rugby, we could have won just by respecting possession and building pressure.

True it the same s**t just a different day at the moment. The coaching satff seem either incapable of recognising our problems or don't have the ability to rectify them.

| Not that i can see him making that much of a difference but what has happened to Sam Moa? Agar used im religulously, then he's dropped and never seen again.
Last night was the perfect opportunity to use Whiting at 13 and play radders and tickle in the back row. Agar could then rota our IMPACT player (MANU) on for the 20 min spells he should be playing. This would give tickle and radders a rest, and allow Manu to run at a tiring Wakey defence. Why the fack can't Agar see this?

| The coach may not be the one missing tackles, throwing awful passes, kicking woefully etc but he [iis[/i the one coming up with the tactics, picking the team and selecting the interchanges.

| Yes, along with those who appointed him.
The team is broken, and he's doing nothing to fix it. Who else is to blame for that?

| Although the players are responsible for their own poor performances..The coaches have ultimate responsiblity of selection game plan etc..
My own opinion is the coaches appear to have lost the changing room..I sense their is a player rift amoungst the camp..
So far I have not gone with sack Agar however I now believe he has to go he also has to take Jon Sharpe with him because as far as I am concerned this is a partnership which is not working and they are both responsibile..It is just like listening to Peter Sharpe at the end of every match..I actually believe we are worse than last year..

Light at the end of the tunnel, just hope by the time we get to that light, agar isn't driving the train. To be fair he said after the game we had 50% of our salary cap unavailable for selection, well we had another 40% of our cap on the pitch last night uninterested. I blame the coach. If we get all our players on board with the right coaching and with more than a plan a then we can turn our season around. Answer to your question yes agar is to blame, we don't create enough to win games, other teams make mistakes but they create tries to hide those mistakes, we create next too, nah I better not.
