After the stick he has been getting I just thought I would point out how well he played yesterday. I would say that is easily his best game in a Hull shirt.

Didn't see the Saints game but I thought he looked better than in earlier games against Rovers.

He at least looked interested! More creative than Thorman!!!!!

Agreed - he didn't go down as easily in the tackle when trying to make some yards coming out of defence, and went looking for the ball more.

Thing with Calderwood is that he's a type of player that has to be used to his strengths. In time the team will learn I'm sure but till that happens he is spot balled for his errors, some of which aren't always down to Calderwood but the player giving him the ball or those leaving him stranded when defending a kick on his own line.

Put him in the clear and he's gone, hint to Horne and Thorman plus the centre inside.

Dont think Calderwood has had a bad game all year tbh. He just gets a lot of un needed stick for doing the basics right etc. Glad he got a try though to get some people off his back.

Don't know why he was getting so much stick anyway. How can he be considered so poor when he never gets the ball???

Pre him signing for us i couldn't stand him, however as soon as he's a black and white that changes. He hasn't played badly all year but as usual one player becomes the subject of a witch hunt and i'm afraid this season it's Calders.

People should lay-off the guy and give him some credit were its due.
